I am happy to see that it looks like he is not dying it as dark anymore... it was a bit too dark by Skate America... which ironically was the first one Rohene did not do.

Also does anyone else think he is shaving the sides of his head now? My better half is convinced of it... based largely on "That was my hair cut in high school" reasoning. I can't tell... but his hair is really bodyrific.
 
He does seem to shave at underneath nape, not sure about sides.

The costume looks a bit like a variation on the first FS costume with the purple sash - except it won't move around or get in his way. Rohene wants that look!

ETA it was probably camera moving at beginning, but he just seemed to fly across ice.

yeah.... i certainly noticed the similarities. Rohene got his way after all...


I like this better... and think i like the neck silver part... but I think I like Jason better in more dark/primary/secondary colors than pastels.

Oh my, I am certainly loving the look of this SP so far. And I like the costume. It looks much more adult, and less OTT. Now please, in the name of the King, HIDE IT FROM ROHENE AND HIS BEDAZZLER.

As to Jason's hair, he may not be shaving it. His father doesn't have much hair, and as much as I wouldn't like it for Jason, it's possible that he's already thinning out naturally. Men tend to inherit their hair tendencies from their fathers.

My hair actually looks similar at the sides sometimes when I have it pulled back, and I definitely don't shave it. So the answer could be as simple as the way he brushes it into the pony.
 
Oh, I do like that. Except for one thing. Is that strip at the front supposed to be flesh-coloured? If so, was this costume originally made for Joshua or something?! Jason's never been that pale.

You could be right, it's so hard to tell!

His hair in the earlier picture is darker and somehow looks different. But the biggest change I notice is that he's changed from boy to young man.
 
Congratulations on a new personal best Jason! :hap10:

Previous SP PB:
Total: was 86.48, now 87.72
Component: was 42.61, now 44.20 (!)

He can clear 90 with this programme easily, even without a quad. He had one level 3 element and -0.80 GOE on the Axel.

Also, 3rd highest SP score by a US man in ISU competition.

ETA: It's still unclear whether the scores count as PBs though. But hopefully they do:)

ETA2: So now we know that the scores do not count. Nevertheless, it was a competition with international judges, and I for one am going to think of these scores as the benchmark from now on - what he's proven to be able to achieve that is :)

To continue your thoughts TMC, another way for Jason to increase points would be to move the combo into the bonus. He'd go from a base value of 9.6 to 10.56.
