Yes. I had no plan to go to THE ICE, but knowing Jason’s news today, I come to want to go there.
THE ICE has tree cities of Nagoya, Kitakyusyu and Osaka. Jason gets the entry of Nagoya and Kitakyusyu. It’s certain THE ICE will be aired on TV, but I guess it will be Osaka show (of course, we can get news clip about the shows in Nagoya and Kitakyusyu also), which means I cant see Jason’s performance at THE ICE! We are sure Jason must match the atmosphere of THE ICE and make it more fun (there are already some tweets by skating fans to celebrate Jason’s entry despite that the news was announced only several hours ago! ). Nagoya where Jason will appear is not so far from my city of Tokyo and I can go there on one day trip, so if I have the time (and if my wallet permits it), I will go there.
One thing that I find a pity is Dai is in Osaka show only, and we can’t see Dai and Jason dancing on the same ice. It should be so fantastic scene!

Glacial Falls July 28th – July 31st, 2016
The Ice August 5-11, 2016, again one week later.

Lombardia Trophy September 8 - 11, 2016 - a month after Japan. But who knows what his assignments will be - hopefully he will be ready or knows his schedule. Still I hope he does not get worn out and injured again.

I listed Lombardia as the start of the season... the earliest possible date he could be assigned.

As for Broadmoor Open... probably not. I know i really want to go next year (Olympic year) and am worried that my better half may balk at going three years in a row. Id rather go next year than this year. Plus he has been sick a lot lately... so not so inclined to pay the expense right now, it also does not work out as well with his schedule this year as it did last year.

In addition... the college champs are in Colorado this year, and actually closer and easier for me to get to. And on top of that Sectionals are at World Arena this year... and since the the Broadmoor Open I can do to every year and Sectionals only sometimes...I am kinda thinking I might rather go to that this year instead... and again don't want to burn out the better half.
 
I wonder if he will be invited to NHK again this year.

ETA @StitchMonkey thx for clarifying - I'm a bit slow in the heat today! Sorry your better half has been sick. Sectionals is fun! I went 2 years ago & saw Jordan, Mariah, Alexander Johnson, & Tomoki, if I recall. And Jason was there cheering his teammates on!

Thank you so much for your work compiling this list Stitch! I wonder if this might be a nice thing to include on the OP, so it's easy for fans to go back and reference. It'd have to be updated frequently, though.

I doubt we'll get very many reports from Champs Camp at all. We tend to get pictures of the fun, team-building stuff, but hardly any info about the programs or how well they're being skated.

I am so excited for him. I always wondered why he wasn't casted before, he would be a perfect star of the show, he loves Japan and Japan love him. It finally happened!!! :hap57:

Also, did everyone see the exchange between Jason and Eric Radford when they realized they were vacationing in Israel at the same time? Jason comments on Eric's IG. Jason uses almost as many exclamation marks as Rohene; no wonder they are so well suited.;)

Can El Henry and I be co-curators of the thread? the only reason I've hesitated to volunteer is because my work schedule can get a bit nutty at times.

We can only put one person as the owner of the original post, i.e. the person has editing duties. But Doris is good about helping out with the OPs as needed, so if you do get busy, just send Doris a shout.
