Thx for the link!:agree:
Oh, the Piano is even more beautiful with "real" videography. He makes me watch every second even with tinkly piano music. Please keep this up, Jason.![]()
The entries for Lombardia are up and Jason, Max and Grant are competing. :hap57:

Aww Jason, y u shun me and Finlandia Trophy :sad21:
To be serious though, I love that he picked Lombardia! It's the first CS event, isn't it? I predict a Shoma-Jason-Max podium, in any order. Can't wait!!

So how exactly does this work. Do the U.S. skaters pick where they want to go, or are they assigned the different competitions?
So I was absolutely, totally wrong in thinking that Jason wouldn't want to do Lombardia because it's too soon. Now I am wondering what the strategy is. Based on Glacier Falls, he already looks really good. Is the main objective to (1) get points (200-250 for a medal) since he missed out on most of last season; (2) make sure those 3As are really, really solid under pressure before Skate America; (3) try out his quad; (4) push all 3 of Jason, Max and Grant to start fast and compete hard against each other all season; (5) some combination of the foregoing; or (6) something else? Will he compete at another Sr B before SA and a third between SA and NHK (maybe that's where he'll bring the quad out?) or is that risking injury?
By the way, a little aside that should really be in the Team KoRo thread except I'm too lazy: since I was in Colorado last week, I went to the 7k Scott Hamilton benefit on Saturday and was privileged to see Jordan, Mariah, Tomoki, and Rohene skate, among others. Mariah skated Roxy and popped most of her jumps but otherwise skated very well; Tomoki is looking good; Romain is really really cute but didn't skate that well, but oh! Jordan looks wonderful, and Rohene, save for one popped jumped (only one he attempted) was amazing - he skated to Amazing Grace. I really really like Jordan - beautiful flow over the ice and I was told he did the choreo for his program (not sure if short or ex, can't remember the music). Anyway, he did do some triples that looked good but I don't think he did lutz or 3A (pretty sure he did 2A). It must be tough for him to sit out all fall, but I'm betting he will look amazing by Nats!
ETA Arriba, I think they state preferences but final decision is up to USFS.

Thx for the thoughts on the Challenger events. I recently heard that is how Japan does it (skaters state preferences, Federation assigns) and realized I had no idea what the U.S. process is.
I wonder if you could elaborate a little on Tomoki. How were his jumps? Does he seem to have had a growth spurt? Did he do either his SP, FS, EX?, etc. I'm still feeling bad that he left Alex....I have such high hopes for Mariah!
ETA - That benefit must have been awesome!
