Jason Brown

Dammit, Jason!

He will be further away from warm-up, but maybe it will make him focus a little more, and not worry about what others are putting out on the ice. I'll never forget what happened in Sochi when he was so into what the other guys were and were not doing in their performances, that he covered himself in the negative vibes. MUST. SEND. GOOD. VIBES!!!

He will be fine skating last. He is older now and will stay in the back and visualize the perfect skate he will put out there.

I'm not worried about him skating last, I'm worried about me still having to be awake at 1:40am when I have to be at work tomorrow  The one thing I wanted from that draw...

Last suits Jason down to a tee. He has a good track record skating there.

Maybe you could get sick? 😉

Anyway, I think it's a great opportunity for him. Skating last in the SP will hopefully allow him to make a strong impression on the judges and the audience. That could really help his PCS/GOE in the FS, even if he doesn't make the final warm up group.

Sorry about that. That makes is close to 8:30 a.m. for me. Not bad at all, if I have the courage to watch live. ;)

I am so thrilled for Jason - what a beautiful skate! New personal best in SP. New personal best TES - finally! New personal best PCS! After all he's been through this year. 😊

ETA and finally, unanimous +3 for his catchfoot camel spin! He got a total of 9.7 points in GOE!

Glorious skate for Jason!!! Watched it live with beating heart and sweaty palms (& two dogs snoring on either side of me..). The kiss and cry with Kori and Rohene was priceless... So cute. He was sublime! :eeking:. :yahoo:

I came here because I could not stand some of the negativity on the World's Men's SP thread. ( Like the person who grumbled Jason had a big advantage skating last!!!?? I say SO? Put him earlier in the line-up.... For once!!). TBF there is a lot of support for Jason over there too.

Jason's SP was great! He did basically the best he could possible do. I'm just glad that he was scored well.

Jason, Rohene, and Kori looked cute in the Kiss & Cry holding hands before the scores.

This men's LP is going to be insane - especially the last two groups. I don't know how I'm going to handle it.

Jason was just amazing today, especially since he skated last and didn't have the tech content of the others in his group (see I didn't mention the Q word).

If he maintains his 8th place or goes higher and Nathan will most likely place in the top 5 depending on how it goes, fingers crossed we'll get 3 spots.

I feel so privileged that I got to see that in person. Sublime. He got a full and instant standing ovation!

Same here!! As I said in the event thread, this was my first live competition and he was my favourite by far! Amazing!!

Props to those bringing us the live reports, and jealous that you get to see the magic in person;)

And I am :sad21::sad21::sad21: about the videos being taken down (I never did subscribe to IN, although TAT's screeching will one day drive me to it) I need to see this again. If anyone has helpful hints, let me know:drama:

I gotta say, what got me in the end was watching all the people standing up and applauding. I kept thinking these people get it. Stay pressed, haters

Unbelievable. Those people are unbelievable. They block everyone, even if they don't own the rights in the US or other countries - which clearly they don't. Do you have cable with NBCSN? They have their broadcast up but it will probably only stay there for a week or so.

I was wondering on what basis they could possibly block US coverage. :disapp: They even got Daily Motion, which I don't even like, but in desperation will use.

Unfortunately for skating, we cut the cord about 15 months ago, so no NBCSN. Pretty adventurous for retired folks.

I was just thinking about this this morning. Apart from the extremely well-hidden, beyond glitchy, awful SBS stream, there is actually no legal way for Australians to watch Worlds live. I can't even catch up properly this morning because the videos were all yanked while I slept. I have no idea when I'll get to see Jason's skate. If ever. How are we supposed to foster the growing excitement in the sport in my country if nobody can see it?

I am beyond proud of Jason. He proved that he belongs on that team.

Fun moment -- while in the arena lobby, saw Jason signing autographs and taking selfies, etc. for probably at least 20 mins. Ended up talking briefly with Kori and Rohene.
Me: Thank you for the beautiful choreography you did for Jason.
Ro: Well, thank you.
Me: So do you have anything up your sleeve for the Olympic season?
Ro: Oh of course. (said with a BIG smile).
Me: You probably have the program finished already.
Ro: (smile)
Me: Kori thank you for all the work you do with Jason.
Kori: Thank you.

(And of course during this time, Jason just continued merrily signing autographs, etc.)

Also want to add, interesting that while the last group of skaters was at center ice being introduced, it was SO interesting to me that Jason and Shoma were the only ones who applauded all the other skaters as they were being announced. Class act on and off the ice, as always.

Did you know you're post 7700 in this thread?!

Did you stop subscribing to IN or is the archived content blocked for you?

I wish I could think of a way to help both you and el henry. ☹️
