Jason Brown

Jason's bestie Raj Misir just posted a photo of them together at the Toyota Sports Center.
Raj's caption is funny/devilish/cute   :ghug: re their frequent and far-flung meetings lately.

(And Jason's Fire Within/Ice Below shirt makes another appearance.)

ETA:
BTW/ICYMI, the USFS article about the PSA boot seminar included quotes/comments from Jason.

taking any mention of Jason we get, even in silly fluff commentary pieces....

Check out No. 9 in Team USA's Ultimate Best Friends Squad

I thought this was interesting because this was an article covering *all* potential Olympic athletes, summer and winter, and Jason was the only singles skater mentioned. ETA: and Meryl and Charlie aren't bad company :laugh:And we all know he would be a great BFF.;)

Not to mention the piece includes my running fav, my main man Meb Keflezighi.:agree:

Dreaded double post, so sorry....

Has this been noted before? Team Koro will evidently be at Skate Milwaukee, where Jason, Tomoki and Jordan will be speaking at a seminar "How to work through tough times as a competitor".

Chicagoland residents and natives, isn't Milwaukee nearby? A trip home for these three, and possibly also a comp???

Yes, Milwaukee is about 1.5 hours from Chicago and even closer to the Northern Suburbs where the three hail from.

Hmm. Yeah it's pretty nearby - even with the awful construction probably a 1-1/2 hour trip for me. I will definitely go if Jason/ Jordan/Tomoki are competing (new programs!), but probably not just to hear them speak about challenges.

I know Jason has previously competed at Skate Milwaukee. But he's scheduled to perform in that benefit show for the Barretts in Fort Collins on July 11, and the SP at Skate Milwaukee is the same day as the seminar (July 14), the FS is the next day, and it's awfully close in time to Glacier Falls (2 weeks). Not to mention it's just about 3 weeks after the Broadmoor jump comp. That schedule seems kinda tough.

On the other hand, Nats is earlier this year (and Olys are earlier than Worlds), and maybe they want to get in as much preseason competition practice as possible. Or maybe he won't debut the new programs at Broadmoor so he can focus on the jumps portion of the competition, and he'll debut the programs at Skate Milwaukee - which is lower key and probably won't be live streamed. And it seems kinda dumb for him to break training just to speak at a seminar (tho he seems to be doing it a fair amount this season).

I'll try to find out about Milwaukee.

I have no idea whether or not Jason et al. will compete in Milwaukee, but FWIW: Tomoki, Jordan, and Ben already have competed one program each this season -- last month in Santa Fe.

Also ... the USOC article was promoted with Instagram stories showing just a few of the athletes listed. One was of Jason -- a different photo from the one in the article. He was in the Class Clown red-white-and-blue wig/outfit doing a super-high kick showing his flexibility.

BTW, not surprisingly, Gracie included Jason in her Instagram album celebrating Best Friends Day.

Off topic, but Team Jackson -- the ubiquitous Raj Misir :), Mark Ladwig, and Kevin Wu -- were among the guests at the wedding of Michal Brezina and Danielle Montalbano on Long Island, New York.
#JacksonFamily evidently is more than a marketing hashtag :ghug:.

Not quite a GPS, but Jason's taken over U.S. Figure Skating's Instagram Stories today. His last slide was of him doing a 3F-3T-3T.

Well, from the Instagram stories, he is definitely in Monument, and, my favorite quote after practice

"the altitude is real";) He spent too much time at sea level this summer:laugh:

and....clips of skating!

Well, *this* is different, and I think merits its own post.

Evidently a budding choreographer friend is following and filming Rohene "during the Olympic season". This clip was made public (one of the Japanese fan clubs posted this link) and shows Rohene working with Jason and Jordan.

Pro's tip: turn down the sound, unless you really need background music, it's Whitney Houston at full blast and has zip to do with programs, AFAIK.

Question: who is the woman skater? I know Courtney Hicks has said she is working with Rohene this week, but for some reason it doesn't look like her to me.:scratch2:

I can't bring up the link right now, but the Swiss woman's silver medalist recently relocated to Monument to train with Kori. Mane it's her?

Wow, thanks, you learn something new every day! :agree:

So, I researched. Evidently the current Swiss ladies' silver medalist is Yoonmi Lehmann. Her Facebook is public, she says on May 31 she is off to an adventure in America and she has long (to me, my hair is short:) ) dark hair. The woman in the vid with Rohene has long dark hair. The Rohene video is small and I can't see the face, but it certainly seems reasonable.

ETA: Further down on her Fbook page she calls Kori "ma nouvelle coach". Verrry interesting.....

I couldn't get the video to play for me through that link but this link worked for me:

Great video! I look forward to seeing more episodes of the docu-series.:)

It is very cool and I can't wait to see more! And thanks for this link as the other one didn't work for me either. OT for this thread, but Jordan looks wonderful!

Aerial Challenge and Broadmoor are next week. I wonder if they will actually stream the jump competition since they don't appear anywhere near their funding goal. And I wonder if Jason will show his programs at Broadmoor.

No word yet on Skate Milwaukee.

Loved that - gonna have to subscribe. So happy to finally get some training related info, even in summary form!

Yes:agree: This is the real deal kind of practice/skating/even publicity related info I want to see.

Of course, we Jason fans had already doped out most of it (well maybe except the video shoot in Chicago), but seeing those clips is more fulfilling than tracking down tweets:laugh:. Those on-ice high kicks, reminiscent of Question of U: FP or LP?

And clips of Jason and Frank training together:love:
