I always hesitate to post my less-than-professional photos after some of the wonderful ones people post here, but I like the way Jason is talking so intently to Kori. It was really cool this am when they announced Jason's skate and said he was skating his SP. The audience cheered. I think Hamilton is going to end up becoming a crowd favorite, especially the way Jason sells it to the max!

And I'm glad to hear that an audience in Canada cheered for Hamilton; maybe the music and message are not as US-centric as we feared. Or a lot of Jason fans traveled.

I have a feeling there are quite a few Jason fans here. And there are quite a few Japanese fans here, and I know a lot of them are Jason fans. I saw quite a few people with fancy cameras taking pictures while he was skating. He skated his FS in the late afternoon practice. As always, he got a lot of applause when he did his catch-foot spin and his gorgeous spiral. He was looking really good today (as were Kori and Ro!). I really like the positivity with which they work. They always all look like they're having a good time!

there is no other possibility for 'Hamilton' SP performed by Jason with such dedication and devotion for the music and theme, well - he invites us to 'The Room Where It Happens' after all; I'm positively buzzed after yesterday's practices and such warm reaction from the audience

(I was actually thinking before the SP, please don't feel like you need to put that $$##%% quad in there if you can skate clean without it. And the skating gods listened!)

I've decided that I do love The Room Where It Happens, even if I still cringe everytime they cut poor Burr off in the middle of his line.

And it made a nice change from the rather dull music we saw before and after him.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Totally agree, I don't go there any more either I just choose to stay in the comfort zone of this thread and a couple of other Fan Fest thread, I am not a risk taker Jason rocked Regina last night, and I am very happy with the score. Without even trying a quad AND the unsure, imperfect 3A. If he nailed it with a solid +GOE it wouldn't have been impossible to get ahead of Chan! He also made a perfect example of how a Tano ought to be done, with his arm majestically aloft, compared to so many with the arm crooked at 90° and/or just thrown up unconvincingly barely above the shoulder level just for the sake of "doing/trying to do a Tano". Although he will definitely be pressed with the immediate needs and will make us gasp and risk cardiac arrests with his attempt at 4T in competitions, I really hope he will deliver the message, especially this season, that what figure skating ought to be all about. As I have done yesterday, I will spend the rest of the day and evening with a pack of butterflies in my queasy stomach... fingers, toes and everything crossed!

Congrats to Jason on the SP! Even his mistake on the 3A looked pretty.

I noticed a small change in the outfit -- no more black tie and the ruffles are different.

Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted his approval of the SP

Can I say, since this will be taken the right way in a Jason safe space, I'm not in love with the assymetrical deep vee, or whatever it is? It looks like a nude mesh river down the middle of his chest. Am I wrong? I do love the deep blue color and modified bling, however:agree:

Of course, none of this will matter if he nails the program

Yeah I like color, not nuts about fabric or the vee and bling. Ha ha I have the feeling Karne's going to hate that costume, especially the pants! It definitely looks like Rohene had input into this one - it reminds me of the first Piano costume. We'll see, I guess.

He looked really disappointed when he fell on the quad. Hope it goes okay tonight.

that... is not the best loo for Jason. I think If the shirt and pants at least matched it would be better. I don't know if velvet/velour pants are a great look on anyone... especially someone with well earned skater thighs and engine.


I think i would like to top on him in black or gray alot actually. I like deep Vs and asymmetry. But somehow as good as a color blue is on him, this is not working. Maybe just try black pants.... actually I think that might be better even with the break in color... I think black pants would be better.

Well.....have to say I’m not a fan of the look I like the top, but the pants in a similar colour remind me too much of 80s jumpsuits a la Scott Hamilton and not in a good way. The top is okay but black pants would look a million times better with it.
