Jason Brown

They went to Din Tai Fung! Guess Jason's dad took my suggestion. :)

I'm glad they got to go to the hole-in-the-wall original.

Thanks for the link to Jason's video re Four Continents. Very enjoyable.

Sorry, I do not know whether any other link in this thread already showed the finished products of Starr's and Jason's caricatures at the banquet.

FYI in case anyone has not yet seen the finished caricatures: a link in Starr's fan thread has them.

Jason just posted an instagram story enthusiastically cheering on the skaters and telling everyone to turn on their TV's and watch. :)

ETA: So it was posted on Twtter, too. Never mind. :)

FWIW, WSJ is offering digtial access for $1 for 2 months if you really want to read the article.

The video was well-done, which I expected from WSJ. Jason did a great job explaining the jumps! But yikes at that cold. It’s good he got that after 4CC.

That’s a tempting offer - I actually love WSJ as long as I avoid the editorial/ opinion pages. Gonna check and see if I can get it through work first.

Jason’s jumps look beautiful here (but yeah, that voice)! Sure makes me wish we’d see him competing one last time this season, but I think it’s pretty unlikely that any of those guys will withdraw from Worlds. And I’m not really an SOI kind of person.

I am wondering about his programs next season, especially given the FS changes (-30 seconds and 1 jump). I guess that means it will be like the current junior programs?

Maybe for this? He's not listed as one of the featured Olympians, but I'm sure when the unexpected (unfortunate) opportunity of Jason being available came up, Team USA picked him up for the event. And it makes total sense-- Jason would be great at this kind of thing.

I think it's cool Jason is still doing things related to the Olympics still. I really was impressed with his voiceover for the WSJ video -- even with a cold! I'm wondering if he wrote the voice over or the WSJ producer did or it was a combination of both.

I was having the same thought re the possibility of this event being a reason. :agree:

Maybe also could be a more-than-one-bird kind of trip??

For example, FWIW, one of Jason's costume-makers is based in the SLC area.
(She made his Hamilton costume, for example.)

Anyone know why Jason would be going to SLC?

Awesome, thanks!

I must confess I miss Jason at these Olympics... :slink: :ohwell:

Me too! 😥😰. Fortunately Alexa's enthusiasm makes me feel a little better. I was almost sorta hoping Vincint would twist his ankle right after nationals, but I feel guilty even thinking it.

I wish he was there too, obviously. But it sounds like Jason is doing OK and busy with fun things! I'm still hoping he is in PS to train with Frank!

I miss Jason being there too, but I’m betting missing out will push him forward.

By the way, what is that green room he’s sitting in? It has a picture of what looks like KALE on the wall, and somehow I can’t really imagine it as belonging to Frank. :)
