No idea. It’s from the Aspen Figure Skating Club photo gallery. They have a bunch of unlabeled photos up, including shots of Alex Johnson and Paul Wiley, but it’s impossible to tell - at least for me - whether they were all taken in the past few days. If I figure it out, I’ll edit in info. Since most of them aren’t labeled and this one is, you may be right that it’s not in Aspen.

ETA I found one photo with a Xmas tree so you may be right.

A brand new program for Jason?

I love the mashup of the two songs -- "You Will Be Found" (from Dear Evan Hanson) and "The Story of Tonight" (From Hamilton)-- I really like both songs individually and hearing them together is super cool.

The Mashup is called Found/Tonight and is part of the Hamildrop, which some sort of monthly release of songs. The Hamilton Polka linked earlier was the February release!

If I end up going to SOI, it will be a longer wait -- May 18, 19, or 20 depending which city I decide to travel to.

I love this. I love Ben Platt and Lin Manuel. But I love this bc it’s beautiful. Thanks so much!

Well, just serving as anecdotal proof that these young folks definitely don't have Facebook as their social media of choice, or Jason would have seen this sooner in his feed

(And I wasn't trying to dis earlier by saying I didn't care, but just that I have never searched for anything related to Hamilton or DEH on Facebook, not even for Jason, so for this to show up in my feed, was, well a sign. Rohene better start that choreo )

Well, there's your proof that I'm not a Hamilton fangirl. I may be the only person in the world who knows a Hamilton tune only because Jason skated to it, but I own it.

And I am looking forward to the SOI version. I imagine the second one from Jason will be DEH, so I better get my Broadway on.....

Any guesses where Jason might be backpacking? I'm going to guess S. America, simply because he said in some interview that he'd like to go.

So guys, front row center! The only way to see Hamilton! My favorite number was probably Room Where it Happens, because it's truly spectacular and got the best audience response. But we loved everything about the show. Really well done and definitely worth the $20 for both of us. So if the show is coming to your town, definitely enter the daily lottery if you can't get tickets outright.

Look at the Icons. He flew in an airplane from the US to New Zealand, and the other thing may be the southern cross. In the other tweet, it's an airplane and a globe featuring Asia and Australia. So that one could have been Asia or Australia. But the other one is definitely the New Zealand flag.

I...have to confess...I'm actually a little disappointed in him? Max's comments make it quite clear he was blindsided by being called up. If Jason knew...why didn't he tell him?

Unfortunately we don't know the whole story with everything. Maybe the trip was a last minute decision? Maybe the (rumored) coaching change drove the unexpected decision?

Maybe he thought that Ross would take the spot? Who knows...

I do realize it looks kinda bad that Jason opted for a backpacking trip rather than Worlds, but honestly there's so many questions around him, it's hard to say definitively what happened.

I actually agree. And he did not need to be posting about his vacation during worlds he was in theory supposed to be at. If he his backpacking here is a pretty good bet he is not injured. He could have still gone but been quite about it... honestly I find the "im playing" post a bit as you say, disappointing.

Max is shaming himself, so I would like to know when Jason knew and why Max wasn't told. It also seems out of character for Jason to kinda throw another skater under the bus, so I am sad.

Plus, there were plenty of people talking about how Jason would have told him, or even suggesting that maybe Jason did it as a gift to Max, when we didn't know the whole story, so I'm not sure why speculation on this front is different.

EDIT: but to be clear, I'm not talking about the comments Jason has made. I was referring to the fact that Max's comments make it clear he didn't see it coming. I have no problem with anything Jason has posted thus far; I have a problem with the idea Jason effectively threw Max under the bus by not telling him, if Jason knew in advance.

We might never know? How was he supposed to know that Ross was going to turn it down?

I know it's easy for us to think 'Well Ross turned down 4CC, so it's obvious that he won't go to Worlds!" if he's going through a move, a coaching change and what not...he's probably not exactly thinking who is and who isn't going to worlds.

Yep... he has clearly chosen to not share it... his choice of course. But that does not mean we are going to stop observing what he publicly posts and having opinions on it that are affected by our lack of knowledge.
