Jason Brown

Jason: Oh hey, 3F-3T, my old friend.

ETA: Is it just me, or does it feel like he made a slight adjustment on the jumps?

If Jason and Zhenya are going to the same Senior B, and know it already, doesn’t that pretty much implicate ACI? I’ve never really paid attention to ACI, since Jason did the tour of Europe each year, but for some reason it just seems logical for them both.

Although Philly International is doable, even with the concert, and in any other year I’d be :hap85: at the thought, I’m still not thinking Jason is doing a summer comp. New coach, new rink, new life. Also, and this is totally off of memory and no research, last year some Canadian summer comps conflicted with “Liberty” ( I know it’s not Liberty any more, I like the name better:p). The previous years, Liberty was overloaded with Canadians, but not last year.

And mostly I don’t want to feel :scowl: at missing the men’s LP. Although I guess it would inspire me to get off my keister and get tickets for Skate Canada:biggrin:

Also OT, but has everyone seen Tarah’s IG story where Danny throws Jordan? Simon S. throwing Jason was more elegant.....;)

It’s a bit hard to tell since we usually see them from a different angle. Were you thinking he’s snapping into the rotation sooner? :)

ETA @elhenry, maybe Finlandia? That would be good for TMC. But I hope it’s ACI!

That is what I was thinking. It just looks different to me. :)

Well I confess, it was the first thing I looked for and I did think there was slightly less of a delay on both jumps. :)

But I wouldn’t really trust my opinion on that!

In any case, it's good to see some progress on getting the jumps back. I'm hoping the 3A isn't far off. :D

Yes! If it’s only July 6 and he’s already working 3F-3T, 3A can’t be too far behind. He seems so much happier and more confident already. If he’s able to get out of his own way now, perhaps he will be able to recover a solid 3A fairly quickly.

I’m actually curious as to what else they will do with that 3A though. I think the best GOE Jason has gotten on a 3A to date is 2.00. If he’s going to aim for +4.00-5.00 on his jumps, he’s going to need to more than the best he did before.

Finlandia would be cool, now that Adam isn't making his yearly trek there;)

And since @MGStyle will get to see Jason in Grenoble, I won't feel bad if he doesn't make his yearly trek to Lombardia this year either;)

And I will trust everyone else on the jump descriptions....

I read that a while ago! I actually posted it on Zhenya’s thread because people were wondering why Jason kept talking about being in “Day 1 of summer training.”

It’s interesting insight in what goes into TCC’s skating program. I like that the groups are named after Winter Olympic destinations.

Okay, brief detour to Rohene because I’m too lazy to search out his fan fest. This totally amazing clip (that hydroblade!!!!!) was shot by On Ice Perspectives at Rockefeller Center last February. The sash will look familiar to all of us, the moves even more so. I love seeing how much Jason has absorbed from Rohene - but as this clip shows, they’re still distinctly different skaters even when they perform similar moves. Gotta say, as glad as I am that Jason made the change to TCC and will work with David Wilson on one program this year, I really hope Rohene continues to choreograph programs for him.

For easy comparison, here’s Jason doing Rohene-choreographed footwork (same link Mrs P posted above):

There's another Skate With Jason event this weekend. He's in Springfield, IL today:

Thanks for this! I was wondering where he was off to when his Story put him at the Chicago airport last night.

Interesting comparisons with Rohene. The similarity of their body types just emphasizes that familiarity of the moves.

Thanks; as Rosa74 said, O'Hare IG story solved;)

Interesting how the website has the same format, clearly the same organizer for both skating clubs' fundraisers. I do need to admit, seeing the photo of the previous lunch, I thought private lunch with Jason would be more than sandwiches in the rink basement, but I don't know why:laugh:

That picture about did me in. I hope when all this skating madness is over that Jason will have a family with children of his own. He obviously has a soft spot in his heart for them.
