Jason Brown

Said it before and I'll say it again

if Borser is saying they are being landed... they likely are looking really good based on what his standards are.

As I recall, in the interview, Brian says that Jason has landed some nice ones (referring to the quads) so it sounds like his technique is improving. The interview was very interesting. Brian cited Jason as the kind of skater the new scoring was looking for, quality skating. But yes, they are still working on quads with the goal of getting him consistent on them and into his programs.

That was a great interview! As to Jason, I thought Brian’s comment about “eye of the tiger” / he doesn’t always have the be so nice was really interesting.

I noted that also. I saw that eye of the tiger in Jason before he injured his back. It's been hard to find since. But he does need that when he's on the ice competing. He can still love everyone off the ice!

Hi fellow Jason fans. His teammate Evgenia had a really rough sp at Russian Nationals. She is skating her FP tomorrow, if you could think nice thoughts or wish her well that would be great. Jason fans are truly wonderful.

I am rooting for her all the way! Hoping for a really great skate! And smiles!

Hi Jeanie - I just posted in Zhenya’s thread before I saw your message. I was so sad that she struggled today, and will be rooting for her very hard in the FS. She has so much to offer and I know that once the new technique becomes second nature, she will be amazing. I’m glad the crowd was so supportive of her today. It’s clear that Brian cares very much about her, and I’m willing to bet that Jason is also sending her lots of love and support. ❤️

Well, I haven’t had a chance to watch the entire interview, but of course I did go to the end

We all know he’s a nice guy, he doesn’t have to be so nice:laugh:

Brian seems so even tempered and focused and even sweet. I remember how thrilled we all were when hear Jason was going to Brian.
I still am :yay:

Hi all, since I'm in this thread the most, just wanted to give you a head's up that I decided to change my user name. It's not much of a change, but I've never been happy that my user name was so similar to my real name. It's actually a very very small change. :)

I am now Ross74.

Any similarity to an actual skater who might have the same name is purely coincidental.

And here I’d been thinking of just going with my full real name; in part because of the gender confusion:laugh:

But at least I know it’s not my iPad when I see the ETA: your user name;)

She is my favorite Russian lady so rooting for her all the way!! Such a prodigy when she was a little slip of a thing but I truly love her now... she has grace, depth, beautiful presence and form and she is learning something unique every day.. her career will be long, prosperous. :luv17:

And we have new Brian talking about Jason content!

I am never going to get tired of how much Tracy pushed for him. It is so endearing. Nothing super new per se, but some of the behind-the-scenes thoughts are interesting.

So, right now, I kinda oversee everything, and help him sometimes. But it’s been a nice addition. Because he’s a really nice person, he works really hard, and I think it’s nice for the other skaters to see this quality of skating, and his artistry. You know, he’s a skaters’ skater. Good skaters always kinda like watching Jason Brown skate [smiles]. He does all those beautiful transitions, beautiful lines. It is nice to have him around.

Brian going soft for Jason is living, really.

And then Tracy just fell in love with him, and she was like: “Can we keep him?” And I said: “Okay, Tracy, if we keep him – you have to take care of him” [smiles jokingly].

Dear me, I love this bit: Brian & Tracy with Jason as a new puppy.

Brian truly loves the puppy joke.

I'm really glad to hear things are working out so well.

Well, Frank Carroll was the first to actually call Jason a puppy, right? So great coaches and all that.....

And this is the first I’ve heard that Kori was on board. It may be spin, but it’s nice spin and good to hear

And I just want to give Tracy a big old hug:biggrin:

I'm really happy to hear in these interviews how much Brian seems to have come to appreciate and respect Jason!! I'm glad he's able to appreciate what Jason can offer, and I do think even between the two GP events you could see a big shift in their relationship with one another (though perhaps winning the short program by 6 points with no quads in France probably helped).
Just god bless Tracy!!
