Jason Brown

Jason would be a smash hit on DWTS. His sweetness and humility would defuse any accusations of being a "ringer" and also make him instantly popular, while his work ethic would shine and draw in those who care about the dancing side.

I'm not sure that Jason would want to do it. As for his radio silence, that isn't unusual, but it's unusual for him to miss a practice. I assume there is a good reason for it. Hopefully, everything is ok. Do you suppose that there is any possiblity he's gone to see Yuzu? It's a remote possibility, but who knows? I just hope that he's not ill.

I wouldn't worry about Jason, he wasn't the only Team USA skater not in the team box yesterday, Kaitlyn and Jean-Luc weren't there either. There's limited space. We also have to consider that Jason is probably pacing himself - he's been in beijing quite a few days now, done a few practices including a FS run through - he is likely resting ready for an SP run through after the team event is done/going on ready for the SP on tuesday.
If it was something serious we would have heard by now, and I don't think Jason's family would be tweeting either!

I'm not concerned, the practice he was scheduled to be at last night was very late local time, he and his team probably decided it was best to get a good night's sleep instead. A wise move. There'll be more practices today at better times, no doubt. There were quite a few skaters skipping.

I hadn't actually thought it through. Jason was practicing and ready to jump in if they chose him for Team. But once they decided definitely to go with Vince, Jason and Tracy may have decided that a day or two of rest and recuperation might be in order. It could be as simple as that. Thanks Karne for your input. I wasn't so concerned about the cheering box, except that I thought he would be there for Karen. I was more concerned about missing practice, but a good night's rest and some down time might be the best thing for him right now. He can clear his head and mentally prepare for the Individual challenge.

Are you sure this was a practice meant for skaters who don't participate in the team event
Are you sure this was a practice meant for skaters who don't participate in the team event?
I don’t know, They played Keegan’s (wasn’t there yet) and Roman’s he had already skated both events, Jason’s (this was after the FS team with Vincent. Nathan skated the entire practice and he was finished with Team. I haven’t seen Jason practice since he got there. Has anyone?

Yes, calm down. Jason has not only been reported at practice multiple times by Jackie Wong (Rockerskating), who is on the ground, he has been reported to be skating extremely well. Jackie even saw a clean 4S.

As I said, last night's practices were very late. Jason was probably resting. He was far from the only skater who opted not to show.

Which practice are you talking about?

The most recent practice for Men's Group 4 was scheduled to start at 17:50 Sunday local time in Beijing = 5:50 pm.

Saturday practice for Men's Group 4 was scheduled to start at 12:10 pm local time.

Are you saying that one of the men's practices was severely delayed for some reason??

Anyway, I hope that Jason is fine.
I know that he is not the only one who has not been at every practice.

Perhaps I am misremembering, but I was sure I was reading Jackie's practice reports for the practice Jason should have been on at 11:30pm my time last night, which would be 8:30pm Beijing time. But perhaps I was wrong. Either way, a nearly 6pm practice is still the sort of practice I would expect someone to skip for a rest, so I am not worried about that.

I am worried about Vincent testing positive and Jason having sat next to him on Friday. And it will be difficult for us to know if Jason shows up to practice this afternoon as the practice rink is apparently full of Japanese reporters camping out awaiting Hanyu and Jackie Wong wasn't able to attend.

This is my fear, too.

Watching Peacock practice cam and Jason is on practice ice!

ETA I am so annoyed. Jason’s SL music came on. I’m sure he did a run through. But. The camera followed Nathan around the rink instead of Jason. And Nathan was just skating in circles. Honest to God.

Just saw Jackie’s report that Jason was on practice ice, I don’t care how he does, he’s skating:clap:

Glad I am not watching if they are not following each skater, but ugggh, NBC is going to end up chasing poor Nathan into the ladies room again:palmf:

Yes, I was watching a bootleg of the Peacock stream earlier and it was the same in the previous group with Hanyu. Incredibly annoying. Then to compound the annoyance the bootleg streamer just shut up shop once Hanyu was done.

Jackie is on his way to the rink (the reporters must all be leaving en masse now that Hanyu's done) and reported that Jason's runthru was 4S<< fall, 3A2T, 3A, 3Lo, 3F3T, 3Lz1Eu3S, 3F. That sounds pretty decent, opening jump aside.
