Jason Brown

In case not posted earlier:
Crazy photo of Jason's MC Hammer pants in action ;)  -- taken at an SOI show by professional photographer @emmanuelcanaan.

(On the photog's website, prints of this photo and others from SOI are available for sale.)

No, I had no idea! That's so... cool. :)

And I can well believe it - about the bumps & bruises. When they show the camera in the car, only watching it makes me feel as if the teeth in my head have been rattled! And you've done that?! I'm impressed - you're a tough cookie, karne. :) (And I mean that in sincerest admiration.)

I used to navigate for my father when he was still competing, hence the larger series of neck issues (you spend most of your time looking down at the roadbook). And some of the roads around where we live got pretty rough towards the end when the government was cutting back their maintenance. But it's very exciting and lots of fun, especially when you hit the rhythm of the calling and the driver responds to everything you say and it becomes seamless, as though driver and navigator were one person.

Of course, we were never very good. But it was wonderful.

How do Nascar drivers train? Jimmy Johnson trains triathlon 6 days a week. That's in addition to racing.

Jimmie is probably an extreme example, but they do train hard, especially on their necks. People call Tony Stewart "Fat Tony" but he's not really fat, just a big guy. Actually, in NASCAR it favours a guy with a little padding on him, because there's so much push and shove.

Jimmie may be an extreme example, but I believe his training habits are a big part of his racing success.

It's interesting that you used to rally. A good friend of Ski's, John Buffum, and his ex-wife Vicky, used to rally. John and Ski played hockey for Burlington, VT, in the Quebec Eastern Townships Industrial League back in the 70's.

I actually got TMC to watch one of the episodes. She can tell you all about it. ;)

Yes and it was awesome, I got hooked straight away! I was watching in my bed on my tiny mobile at 7 am in the morning. I'd only come home from a party at 3 am, but I woke up and couldn't sleep so I thought "I'll watch this, it'll put me to sleep in two minutes". Oh no it didn't - I watched the whole episode and just loved it. The production, the script, the editing, the tempo...I'm definitely going to keep watching ;)

And I love that Jason K-drama plot

Mrs P. hit the Jason K-drama on the nose...it was too funny and covered all of the important points in producing a K-drama. I laughed my head off at 2:00 a.m. on a work night, while taking a break from watching a drama that I couldn't seem to turn off and go to bed! Those dramas are as addicting as Jason Brown - love him, love K-dramas.

LOL. I've definitely had those "I know I should be going to bed but I'll just watch ONE more episode." Then yeah next thing you know it's 3 a.m. and you watched like seven of them.

JUst curious, which drama were you watching Sloopy? Also, were you still planning on going to Skate America? I'm still thinking about it. If we both end up going...we definitely should meet and talk about our favorite dramas.

I was watching "Glorious Day" which is a new drama being filmed currently. I had just found it on Dramafire and was on episode 22 of the 24 that were uploaded at the time. I believe there are a total of 50 in all which I think ends in October. I did go to bed after watching just one more...one more.

I am definitely going to Skate America, and would love to meet and talk about the dramas. Maybe we could start a club and call it the Brownzilla K-drama Club!

Best part of Glacier Falls is usually there's at least ONE person there that films everything, so we'll get to see an update on Jason's programs. :)

*gleeful handrub*

Last year we saw his costumes for the first time at Glacier Falls. ;)

Oh, I hope we see them this year! Can't wait to see his improvement and read everyone's reactions here :) It's been too long without a Jason update! Of course I wish he was at Skate Detroit so I can see him in person but I'll have to wait for Skate America.

And somehow I should have realized that Jason fans would be K-drama fans too. Both are awesome in ways that are sometimes hard to describe. I haven't watched any dramas in a while but all this talk about them makes me want to go back and rediscover Coffee Prince and Kim Sam Soon.

Guys, can we make a deal that you all come over to Finland in March 2017 to watch Jason win his 1st World gold with me?
Cos that 1st World medal is coming in Boston 2016, of course ;)

Can you imagine what a treat you'd be in for if all three of the Golden Trio hit their stride by then! Oh! It would be so magic!

Oh, it looks like Kori had a great birthday party  I was searching for Jason in the pic and oh look, of course - he's cuddled up with Athena!
