Javier Fernandez

Congrats Javier!! So glad to see him skate so well in front of a home crowd. Hope he does well for worlds too!

Incredible skate from Javi, and at home nonetheless! And he's now joined the 200+ club  he looked so happy afterwards and the audience enjoyed his performance so much. Bravo Javi!

I didn't even realize he broke the 200 (like how big a deal it is) until Brian's interview. He was amazing. So proud

Also happy for the crowd in Barcelona; they've been so supportive and loud for all disciplines and skaters, it's nice to see their hometown hero performed so well!

What can I say?

Javi skated as well as he could do it, but Yuzuru just was in other league.
The japanese had (or has) one quad more an one Axel more and when he gets it (like this time) he is really unbeatable.
Both are great skaters with different styles and tecniques with the same coach curiously though.
IMO, Yuzuru is more elegant and graceful with terrifics spins and Javi has a unique style (maybe he has found a new school, the Spanish school,) and he can empathize with crowd like nobody can do it, audience love him and nobody can teach that, you must be born. I like the way Javi feels the music also. I think his best program is yet to come.

Next fight: Boston

Oooo... two quads! Well, it's a great place to try it out, as he isn't in danger of not making the Euros/Worlds team.;)

Good move! I like it that he is going for it; it shows everyone that he is working towards keeping that world champ title! I love the SP this season for Javi.

Javi doesn't show it much outwardly, but he's determined not to be left behind. I'm really pleased he put 2 quads in his SP. -Go for that Euro title Javi! Will this be his 4th?
