Sorry for neglecting the thread during the Worlds, but it was soooo busy all the time and I was just too tired to write anything at the end of each day after the competitions began. But it was a bit of a rollercoaster, wasn't it?
I am extremely happy that I got to witness the perfect Malaguena (well, the first spin which happened almost in front of me and the little stumble before the 3A made my heart stop for a millisecond) and equally sorry for what happened in the FS. But the way he was able to deconstruct and analyze that situation directly afterwards was cool to see. Hope they will be able to do better, if a similar situation comes up next season!
Both competition moments were made even better and less disappointing as I was able to share them with
tureis and
evergreen :luv17: My other skating friends are not that much into Javi and so meeting those two was a special and amazing treat!!! And the reaction when we met in the foyer after the gala and each basically went a little crazy for having gotten to see Touck of Evil live

I saw him in the shadows before he stepped on ice, recognized the costume and almost started to scream out loud for joy!! I thought it had been dead and buried. It did not go down well in Asia in 2015, but this audience took it much better.
Javi is back in Toronto looking quite happy and relaxed.
In a Cope radio interview he said that they will start working on the new programs already towards the end of this month - so the musics have been selected and all is set and ready. It will be interesting to see whether one of them gets introduced in the shows in the summer (like Black Betty in 2014). I am also curious to see how much information they will let out on what kind of music they will use...
What these plans mean considering the tech content particularly in the FS, remains to be seen. He is competetive in the SP - there's not that much more that can be done techwise with that by anyone -, but the FS is a different story. He needs to have two good/very good programs to be competetive with Chen, Hanyu, Jin and Uno who all afford to make mistakes (unless everyone of them goes clean). Introducing the 4Lo this late in the game sounds extremely risky to me and also, we have really no idea what his physical condition is. He keeps rubbing his right leg and knee in practices - and I think in increasing amounts, but that might just my freaking-out imagination taking off... Can he handle the brutal work required by getting that new jump into the FS? And all the other changes that it would also involve? Would it be too much mentally, too?
His summer program looks quite light - there is the Ice Chips in Boston this weekend, then in the beginning of May a gig in Spain before hitting FaOI in Japan at the end of May. So, it seems that the focus is clearly on the Olympic season and getting ready for it. It'll be interesting to see what kind of competitions he gets/chooses to do during the fall - personally, I wish for the two European GPs as the GPF is in Japan. The fate of Rostelecom and Europeans in Moscow seems to be still not 100% decided. Milan is now certainly on as the venue for Worlds, but who knows whether he will participate in it after the Olympics?
Miki was actually discussed somewhat in Helsinki, but so few facts (if any, really) are known that for all we know, he might as well be engaged with some Russian girl as suggested by Tatiana Tarasova when commenting on the Europeans in January
