It was so kind of him to skate for the show.
And the whole stadium sang Happy Birthday to Javi.

Though I have to say, I’m very surprised that the selling girl had no idea who he was... I mean, not recognizing Javi is one thing (that can happen), but not knowing...??Is he still living in Cuatro Vientos?
If he is and he skated at 7 am you need to add another half an hour by car just to get to Invernalia (that's where he recorded himself). Add warm-up, costume, etc, and I don't want to even think about how early he was on his birthday... Happy birthday, Javi, we love you.
(Also hi yuzufans!! Those messages were lovely <3)
So... Javi's been more recognized lately, that's true. But I have this funny story of him around three weeks ago, on Sunday's afternoon. I'm sorry for not telling it before but I was bitter af because he went to a public session on a rink I usually go to... But I was skating that day on another rink. Sigh...
So, he went to that rink with his gf... And they actually charged him the normal entrance fee!
...then someone told the girl selling the tickets "that was JAVIER FERNÁNDEZ, what are you doing?", and she was like "and who's that?"

), and then Yuzu conducting the whole arena to sing Happy Birthday for him.
for Javi after this.
) congrats to this admirable athlete and person that won over the skating world with his amazing skating and charming personality

The article is about Hanyu, but Orser talks about Javi as well.
):https://twitter.com/PalomadelrioTVE/status/986908313240653825 I saw this dance clip of Javi and other (flamenco?) dancers.![]()

But especially his upper body and arms compare quite well to the other two dancers! And Najarro is a vision of course, an absolute joy to watch.
Javi said he will still compete a little bit right? Has there official announcements where he will?

That's the spirit! I really hope he will finally be recognized. They can't possibly ask for more than Javi has already done for his sport in his country. We are already negotiating and struggling to get a high performance center in Spain where, if things do not change, I will act as organizer and coach. We work so that all the skaters have all the possible facilities, so that they do not need to leave the country to seek their opportunity.
he cares about this sport SO MUCH!
