JGP - 3 Vienna, Austria

Musademba is very talented, and where did I say that only Asian girls are talented!
You gave me the impresson from another thread that there was no hope for the American ladies in the coming season with the Asian ladies dominating.

This statement, for one:

As for the best in the world, of course fourth place is great, but you cannot tell me that fourth place is what the United States is use too... The last time the United States had not finished on the podium was 93 /94? And I do think that it's perfectly resonable to say that Kimmie isn't in the top 3 in the world, when Kimmie didn't make GPF this season. Miki Ando hasn't lost to Kimmie since the Olympics, Mao Asada has lost one match to Kimmie her entire career, and Kimmie has never managed to beat Yu-na.
So what? How is this so important for you to point out the decline in US ladies figure skating? Most of the american posters are debating the better of Mao v. YuNa. duh.

Joe

Oh yes, wasn't Miki skating in Calgary Worlds?

Argh, the sound on the livestream became un-listen-to-able just as the top two for the OD came on:banging:! And then Evan Bates fell down!

Joe if you want to get into a discussion with me, keep on that thread. Don't bring arguments over to this thread, that's plain wrong. And it's also clear to me that the young American skaters are better than the Asian skaters, so I never said that the US figure skating was declining. i just said right now Asia has the best female skaters. It doesn't sound like Japan has a young Mao waiting in the wings.

Thanks, Joe. How did copy & paste the men's results? You didn't type it all out, did you?!
Feraina - For some reason the ISU website does not lead you into Results yet. So I clicked on the link of the Ladies at post #24 and at the bottom clicked on one of those links for the entries and results of all the comps. Got to the Men, then copied the relevant parts for posting.

And most American fans agree with you at this point in time, and are awaiting the coming season. Some posters believe in improvements all around.

I very much enjoyed Kristine's SP. Rachael looked a little slow in her flying spin but had an interesting program that I would love to see WITH the music. The audio was terrible coming through. I hope they both medal as their total package is head and toes above the rest. of this group As for Kristine not having a 3L yet - keep working on it and you will be a contender at Nationals this year with or without it. I loved her speed and musicality.
Best to all the Americans at this JGP!

wow, the audio here is terrible. Anybody else has the same problem?

Yep. It started shorting out exactly one couple before Samuelson and Bates in the OD.

ETA: The Windows Media Player is claiming "Network too busy to play file at original quality." I wonder if it's that too many people are trying to watch. Except now it's frozen for me, so...
