Raise your hand if you've watched Josh's Nats/4cc programs multiple times every day... :slink:

We should start a support group.

"Hi, my name is karne and I am a Joshuaholic. Yesterday I blew over a gigabyte of data downloading the highest-quality videos of the Four Continents' Schindler's List I could find."

Joshuaholics Anonymous, meetings where we unite & fawn over his performances together

Ok, we're getting the quad in the SP at Worlds.

So... what's the new jump layout? Do you think this impacts the order of the non-jump elements?

Recent layout:

3A
3F3T - second half
3Z - last element

My guess is that he will do the quad first and the 3A last.

Sigh. This makes me nervous. This layout was getting so solid.

What StitchMonkey said, so the NHK layout basically. He hit 6 out 6 3As at his last 2 comps, I'm sure he has the confidence to do it. I'd also guess he wouldn't want to change too many elements around, since they're all very well choreographed to the music, and I'm sure he wants to keep it that way.

And can you imagine him hitting a 3A like the first one in his nationals LP as the absolute last element in this gorgeous program?

I'm actually acting a promoter right now his 4CC Magnificent Schindlers List program in every forum!

I think we owe it to the world to share such a masterclass program. A rare quality of combining sensitive musicality and artistry. How it was not defined mainly by the jumps like the others. A work of art indeed.

If he nails the quad in the sp, I could see him being in the top 4/5 at worlds imo. However, quads always make me nervous since I never knew if he's gonna land them or not. I just hope that if he misses it, the performance won't go to crap like NHK.

The 3a being the last element makes me very nervous, more than the quad. But as someone said, if he lands a 3a just in the last moment perfectly will be awesome.

And yes, I'm Joshuaholic as well. Help me!

Call me slightly off, but I don't think the performance was 'crap' at NHK. He looked as if he had given up on the jumps, but I thought he was still doing well with the moments in-between, and still seemed to care about performing for the audience. You don't get applause for your step sequence if you don't, IMO.

Even if he misses the 4T (though I'm optimistic he won't), I'm sure he'll perform the rest beautifully

I agree. Everything else at NHK was beautiful and it was then I really started to get excited about this season. Because I saw only that his performance skills were much improved and he was now projecting to the audience much better. That he seemed tentative and afraid of his jumps was a normal reaction, and one I knew he'd overcome.

The quad can only be helped by confidence, and his confidence must be sky-high at the moment. If he strides out onto that Worlds ice with the same intent and purpose that he took the ice in Greensboro and in Korea with, then a few of the more established "big names" ought to be looking over their shoulders in fear.

Well the performance was enough to get me hooked at NHK. I re-watched it many times as I could see there was something very special in that program. You could certainly still see there was a fabulous skater and program in there.

I share the same thought. While Josh has obviously been around awhile, witnessing that 'disaster' skate at NHK was still extremely promising. I remember thinking how incredible that program would be if he were to skate it relatively cleanly someday... even the step sequence got applause at NHK, despite all the other mistakes. I was still moved by it, especially his reaction afterwards...

Does anyone else think that Josh might use his "Give Me Love" SP for another season? He's really only gotten good mileage with it for the latter half of the season, and I'd love to see how it could grow and solidify over another season. A new LP, of course, but that SP just doesn't get old...

I think there is a high chance he will. He has not used it that long, he used his long two years in a row. I think keeping the short that works, and getting a new long is a pretty good bet what we will see
