Joshua Farris

That would be my bad, looks like. I looked it up on the archived GS thread which had the date listed as Feb. 13 in the thread title. I'll get started on getting the word out that we need to move it a day. I'll get on Tumblr and get the correction out there.

I see what you're saying about the 2015 thread title leading you astray.
Bummer that among the thousands of GS threads, this thread title of all thread titles would happen to have a rare error that would make a difference a year later :bang: :ohwell:.

Thx for leading this project in support of Josh :).

Thx for leading this project in support of Josh :).

So happy to do it! :agree: It's a silly thing, I suppose, but thinking about all the challenges Josh has faced this year, I can't help but thinking about him not as a athlete I'm a fan of, but as a person who's barely younger than me, who if life had been different might have been a colleague or a classmate or a friend, and what would I want to do for that friend? And the answer was to let them know they've got so much support and positivity in their corner. That's what I'm hoping this will achieve for this very talented guy :)

So, in that case, should we try this:

So something like:
-2-4 PM Colorado time on Feb. 14
-9-11 PM London time on Feb. 14 (GMT/UTC)
-6-8 AM Japan time on Feb. 15
-8-10 AM Australia time on Feb. 15 (karne time!)

Perfect!

Alright, then, let's do this! We'll aim for the trend to be between 2-4 PM Colorado time on Feb. 14. For those who need to figure out what that is for their time zone, here's a time zone converter: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

I'll get a post on Tumblr as well to detail all this. Also, if anyone would like to exchange Twitter handles so we can see each other on there, PM me- I'd rather not post publicly but am happy to share individually :)

And it will be Valentine's Day for him - the perfect day to give Josh love!

This might be the most awesome figure skating related item posted to instagram this week: https://www.instagram.com/p/BBdQnyXJx5m/.

Oh, my, goodness! What Joshua is doing in Joe Johnson's video seems normal enough - it's Joe's phone going up & down and the Funky Town theme that makes this :laugh2:. Also, is that a Rockstar energy drink Joshua is holding? Those things are horrible!

But I am proud of Joshua and Joe for not (yet anyway) turning their place into a complete "bro-cave".

T-minus 3 days til #GiveJoshLove! Just so everyone is on the same page, here's a quick rundown- reminders for those who've been helping plan it all along, and info for anyone just reading this now:

-The event will take place on February 14.
-We are striving to concentrate the tweets/posts/etc. in a specific time window, which is 2-4 PM Colorado time (9-11 PM GMT/UTC). This will move into the morning of Feb. 15 for some time zones. For those who need to figure out what that is for their time zone, here’s a time zone converter: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
-Twitter is where the main event will be concentrated. If you have a Tumblr but not a Twitter, feel free to contact someone who has a Twitter and ask them to post screenshots of your Tumblr post and tag it.
-In case you will have plans that day or otherwise may not be able to be on Twitter during the planned window, I’m told that https://buffer.com/ has a way to schedule tweets to be sent out at a preset time.
-Particularly since the 4CC anniversary (and thus our trend) ended up falling on Feb. 14, this bears repeating: The idea is to send encouragement, well wishes, positivity. The idea is NOT to pressure someone into more social media engagement or send any creepy messages, no matter how funny they might seem at the moment. This is a show of affectionate support, no more, no less. Please be respectful.
-Please spread the word if you can, and thanks for participating!

I'm ready for #GiveJoshLove!!!!!

Me too!! I've scheduled a few tweets for the trend window, since I may not be able to be online live, but I'm so excited for this! Thanks to everyone who helped come up with the idea and who has joined along the way. Let's give Josh some love today

I hope it helps to retweet all the thoughtful messages people are sending and tagging #GiveJoshLove

Only the second time ever I have tweeted a skater, but a worthy cause! #givejoshlove

It was heaps of fun to watch it take off and see people from all around the world giving Josh their love. And true to the rules, I didn't see anything creepy! Huzzah! Unlike his poor friend Max who has successfully acquired another two creepy stalkers to go with the original.

I also loved this beautiful drawing.

And a parent posted how Josh inspires their son:

My son who has milk alergy is so encouraged with performance of @joshDfarris.Hope he feel better and recover soon.#GiveJoshLove

That was really great that the vibes stayed positive and healthy. (Sidebar: That is really unfortunate about Max.)

I have wondered if Josh likes to cook and would ever be interested in showing how to make some tasty non dairy recipes. It may be a way to even help get some sponsorships from almond milk or dairy free food companies. (I am bringing this this potential up because we are still being optimistic about his return to the ice and next season, of course.)

Happy March to Joshua! I've heard that Joshua is March on the 2016 USFS Calendar. Is that right?

Nevertheless, here's to hoping that Joshua has another month of progress in his recovery and that he gets closer to returning to the ice and training.
