Judging Critiques/Continuation of Plushenko’s Allegations

There has yet to be anyone able to answer why Shcherbakova deserved far higher PCS than Trusova for a more flawed performance, especially regarding the skating skills and choreography.
What MORE FLAWED performance?! You make it sound like she had 2 falls and a step out in her program. FYI Having unclear edges in jumps doesn't affect PCS.

Sasha faced Anna 3 times last year (GPF, Nationals, European) and at all of those competitions Anna was at least 4 points ahead of Sasha in PCS (in the free skate).
What are the chances that judges at 3 different competitions put Anna far ahead of Sasha in pcs?! Maybe Anna IS actually better in PCS? Or do you believe her parents were traveling around the globe bribing judges at different competitions?!

Shcherbakova made a big mistake on her spin in the Russian Nationals SP, while Trusova skated her best SP ever.

Quoting other instances of PCS judging is completely meaningless. I've pointed out in detail exactly how similar the skating qualities were and why Trusova deserved better GOE on certain elements, but nobody can defend their opinion that Shcherbakova's scores were deserved.

The results are in: Sasha has outscored Daria by the deduction one would get for a Lip. Doesn't matter though, replays on TV be damned, Sasha gets the spot, she's going to Beijing!

If the deciding factor between Trusova and Usacheva comes down to an edge call, that means either Trusova has multiple falls or Usacheva landed triple axels or quads.

You really should not generalize the people at the board here.
You mean like people here generalise Plushy? Just because he's not a member here doesn't make dragging him allowable.

The number of times I and others have been told to give Eteri and her team the benefit of the doubt if you so much as question some of her decisions, but with Plushy is open season. Come up with the worst interpretation of his actions possible and just throw it out there. It's all in good fun.

Except it's not because new fans join all the time and with a few notable exceptions 95% of the time he's brought up it's negative. The man can't even put on some of most beautiful ice shows on Earth without being blasted for skating in a lead role. Why shouldn't he? He's paying for the show to be put on. And if not attacked for that little ego trip the pitchforks are out because by skating in said shows he's not showing proper diligence in coaching. This is particularly hilarious because these same people call him a fake coach anyway so what does it matter where he is? Or do they perhaps want him in Siberia?

And don't get me started on the fact that if Sasha does make the Olympics any good result will be attributed to Eteri, and any failures no matter how small will of course be all on Plushy and his fake Academy.

Because there how he gets his kicks, ruining skaters careers and wracking in the money like some Scrooge.

People are waiting with baited breath for Daria U to bring out the big jumps.

And if Sasha decides to stick to 2 quad programs for stability, Daria's superior artistry and GOEs will quickly make her a rival. If I've learnt nothing else this year it's that Daria's artistry is exquisite and her Romeo and Juliet makes Sasha's look like a joke. No-one wants some jumping robot at the Olympics! They want artists who won't embarass themselves and the sport.

You just admitted then that Shcherbakova was ridiculously overscored. They had her 18 points over Trusova, not 10. That's a lot of points. The SP scoring is what especially needs to be looked into. Shcherbakova skated worse and was 5 points higher. This can not happen.
The judges think Anya has better artistry and interpretation than Sasha does and that's why she scored higher in the SP. Not saying that's fair or just or what. I think Sasha should have scored higher in the SP as well. What they got to let it go it could affect her.

I do not think Anna was ridiculously over scored in the SP as you said I said. I think 260 would have been fine and she scored 266 I believe. I think it into national judging panel would have been less generous for all 3.

We need Aliona back soon so we can stop talking about all of these controversies And focus on her come back.

I guess we do. Then Sasha will totally be out of the equation the Olympic team can be Anna, Kamila and Aliona.

Everybody wins! The only thing that will make it perfect is if Aliona returns to Team Eteri. Perhaps she can be convinced at the upcoming Team Event by Channel 1.

I think you're taking things too far now.

Yes Dasha has something different to offer than Sasha but that something different is not as likely to win a world or Olympic medal as what Sasha has right now.

Sasha is also the only former Eteri skater I've ever seen that can overcome losing the rumored and much talked about Eteri Bounce.

Many people want sasha at the Olympics because she can score 240 plus even with only 2 quads. The winner of the Olympics in 13 months might have a score of 240.

Lollllls!

Who is going to convince AK to go back to TT at channel one?

Seriously Aliona has a path to the Olympic team but right now she's on the outside looking in and we know who the top 3 favorites are at this point. I keep hoping some countries don't send skaters because of the pandemic and because it's not worth it to them and that opens up more spots for more of the top countries.

With Anna and Kamila there? I think not.

Maybe I am going too far, but that's the feeling of get here, even the people who want Sasha and Aliona to do well want it in spite of Plushy. If Plushy could completely fail at being a coach and disappear without Sasha and Aliona being effected there'd be prayer circles for it to happen and on the most joyous day it did be declared a International Skating Holiday with a big party.

At which point figure skating will return to an idyll similar to this:

Not the Channel 1 people, but Zhenya Med and Alina are the team captains, if Aliona is on Zhenya's team she'll get to hear all about how returning to Crystal was the best decision Zhenya ever made (after all, no-one in Russia hates her anymore). If she's on Alina's team she'll learn about how Plushy tried to get Alina to join his Academy and how praise the Lord she was smart enough not to because look at all the wonderful successes she's had.

Sasha might be tempted too come to think of it, Zhenya Med is her idol and now she's back at Crystal.

Perhaps Aliona and Sasha can go in for the World's biggest bouquet of flowers and then the 3A will be together once more. It'd be the feel-good story of the year!

No it isn't! Especially when people act like the PCS gap between Anna and Sasha is something new!

YES IT IS. Competitions needed to be judged by how the skaters perform on the day. Shcherbakova did NOT deserve to beat Trusova in that SP, much less be in 1st place with a lead of 5 points after a flawed performance.

LOL, if it's not "fair or just" then there was a problem with the judging. And those qualities are not the entirety of the programs, Shcherbakova factually did not display skating skills and choreographic content to the level that deserved the scores she received, especially in relation to the others. The programs are seriously almost identical choreographically.

You don't have a flawed performance because of one lvl 2 spin. Those claims are getting more and more absurd. In such case many of Sasha's performances would have to be considered flawed because she's losing leves regularly and nowhere is written that with lvl 3 it is perfect and with lvl 2 it is flawed. Not to mention that in many competitions Sasha received very high PCS even with a fall, near-fall or other serious mistake on her 3A attempt or, how it was already pointed, that Sasha with four falls and other serious mistakes won (even in PCS) over Nugumanova at Rostelecom, whose only serious mistake was one downgraded 3Lo. And yet, no furious defence of Liza or claims about scoring as in case of one single lvl 2 spin of Anna that is repeated ad nauseam. No, gaining one single lvl 2 spin is not a reason why you are not allowed to defeat Plushenko skater or why Eteri skater is allowed to be hated via allegedly biased scoring. There is bias, yet not where you foist that.

Shcherbakova was not always ahead of Trusova in the PCS. At the beginning of the second junior season, Sasha even surpassed Anna in this. Then they became equal. How did this happen? I'll try to refresh your memory. Sasha tried to jump a lot of quads at every start and fell on them. She hasn't had pure FP in two seasons. Let me remind you what discourses were conducted at that time, including here. That Sasha does not like to spin, does not like to practice choreo, that Sasha is a jumping robot. This was facilitated by Sasha's empty programs and the words of her coaches. An interview with Gleikhengauz and Tutberidze created for her the image of a "skater without PCS". Meanwhile, Anna tried to be accurate in jumping. The opinion of her "exceptional musicality" was spread everywhere. As a result, Anna entered the adult season with the advantage of the PCS over Sasha.
Let's go back to the present day. Today Sasha makes a lot of efforts for his all-round development. She also does a lot of sliding with ice dancers. Her presentation is also improving. She has interesting and versatile programs that suit her. Sasha set a goal to skate cleanly, without falling. And she has already taken the first step in this at the last CoR. But she is denied the progress of her PCS assessments. While Anna is not progressing in the skating skills department. Its programs are secondary and forgettable. She constantly makes many small mistakes. But her PCS continues to grow to the skies.

How’s that the argument again? Sasha scored higher than Aliona too at the beginning of her second junior season. The trick is that all 3 were performing at different competitions, and not against each other.

What's the problem? Is not it so? I simply answered the words of the user that Shcherbakova always excelled Trusova in the PCS.

That’s exactly the problem. Then you should also add that at the same point of time she excelled Kostornaia, in order to have a full picture of how accurate your argument actually is. Because this is another one of arguments, where people only use the part that is convenient to them.

It only seems impossible at first glance. At the last competitions of the Russian championship, one of the judges put Usacheva ahead of Trusova on the basis of two programs. You can check - this is not a joke. So you need only four more judges that it happened right now. It's not that fantastic.

Your interpretation of the facts does not invalidate those facts. You cannot change the numbers (thank goodness). Are you surprised that Sasha's PCS at some point surpassed Anna and Alena's PCS? Do you question this and think that it is not possible in principle? I disagree. Three years ago it was all a little different. I'm not surprised that you don't find Anna's superiority over Alena in the PCS this season as something abnormal. Moreover, I am ready to listen to a thousand explanations why this is the way it should be. But how can your or my opinion change the state of things here and now. Or estimates three years ago?
