Julianne Séguin and Charlie Bilodeau are pair skaters representing Canada.

Séguin was born on 7 November 7 1996, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Bilodeau was born 6 August 1993 in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada.

Julianne also competed in single skating at the international level and placed 11th at the 2013 Four Continents Championships and also competed at the (senior) ISU Grand Prix event Skate Canada in 2014. For the summary of her single career see the "Miscellanea" section of the thread. At the beginning of her pair skating career, she skated with Andrew Evans with whom she placed 9th at the 2012 Canadian Nationals. She teamed up with Charlie in November 2012.

They are the 2014 Junior Grand Prix Final champions and the 2015 World Junior silver medalists. At the senior level, the pair were three-time Canadian medalists (silver in 2016 and 2018 and bronze in 2015), two-time medalists on the ISU Challenger Series (gold in 2016 and bronze in 2017 – both at Autumn Classic International), and three-time medalists on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating circuit (bronze at 2015 Skate America, bronze at 2015 Trophée Éric Bompard and gold at 2016 Skate America). They also competed at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships three times, with their best result, an eighth-place finish, coming in 2015. The pair represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 9th.

Séguin/Bilodeau were invited to the 2018 Grand Prix in Finland and 2018 Internationaux de France. They planned to use "Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite for the SP and "Wicked Game" by Theory of a Deadman for the FS. However, in mid-July 2018, Bilodeau decided to dissolve their partnership.

On 29 July 2018 Skate Canada announced the pair's split .

Julianne and Charile were coached by Josee Picard, Valerie Saurette and Marc-Andre Craig.

Julianne's career as a single skater

As a single skater, Séguin won the junior bronze medal at the 2012 Canadian Championships and began competing on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in autumn 2012. After placing sixth on the senior level at the 2013 Canadians, she was assigned to the 2013 Four Continents Championships and finished 11th in her senior international debut. She was assigned to represent Canada in ladies' singles at the 2014 World Junior Championships, but she withdrew after sustaining a back injury in practice. During 2014/2015 season, she won the bronze medal at an ISU Challenger Series event, the 2014 Skate Canada Autumn Classic.

I didn't see nothing special until the JGPF. And after world juniors I rewatched their performances and now I'm their fan. I think they have very nice relationships, they're really skating together. I think they really have a chance even in the very competitive canadian field.

They're competing at the Quebec championships this weekend. Their SP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rHgJbk5jq4

I really like this program. It's a fun, character-driven program like their short last year. Julianne was a BEAST in landing a wonky looking throw triple flip.

You weren't....I was very impressed and charmed by their performances.

Me too! I remember watching them at their first JGP of the season this past year online; and it was  at first sight, haha. The programs weren't perfect, but they just felt a cut above and had a lot of potential. I'm really hoping that they have a good season this year! I like their new SP.

I agree matmuh, one of my favorite things about them is their connection on and off the ice. I don't really care if pairs are romantically involved or give that impression during their programs, I just like it when they like each other! And these two really seem to.

Yes!!! They seem to actually be friends and have a good time skating together, which is always so awesome. :)

"This year, even if it's senior Grand Prix we don't have the pressure of the gold medal," he told CBC Sports. "Last year in junior it was okay, we're thinking about our performance but we're still like, 'OK, we can be first.' Now this year it's only a year where we will learn so we don't have pressure for the podium or whatever else, we just have fun skating."

Quote from CBC Sports.

TSL also interviewed Julianne and Charlie at Skate America. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO_HZBPPzc4

They ask him how he keeps his back straight in lifts. His reply - "I don't know, more abs?"

And I went ahead and updated the OP. I figured I adopted them, I should take better care of them myself.

I loved them last night, I actually thought they deserved second!:cheer: Wonderful skates!

(What I sincerely like about the British Eurosport guys is that they love, or are at least 'kind to' every single one of the skaters. No matter what they do find something positive to say. Really they almost deserve their own fan fest :laugh2:)

I admit I am not quite a fan of S/B, but I really liked their performance/program in the free. Well deserved marks; I would have them second as well.
I agree about the Eurosport guys. Even when they criticize they are not insulting or disparaging.
