Kaetlyn Osmond

I'm a little bit dissiappointed too that she doesn't need this combo. Changing of the jump arrangement is good for an appeal of the new programs, but if she puts 3F-3T and 3F-1Lo-3S, she needs another 3Lz(3Lo)-2T to prevent repeating the low point 3S. Too many changing is risky for this season.
However, this combo is also good training for solo 3S and various type combos (3Lz-3T, 3F-1Lo-3S) are convinient for jump recovering.
Now she is going to overcome 3Lo and 3S :)?

well both the 3Lo and 3S looked great at Wild Rose

She could repeat the lutz and flip but even then... the base value was 0.3 higher... than what she currently has and it was so much more difficult... I think that the only way she could make a move up in BV is by backloading the x-3t combos... so it would need a complete revamp of her program at this point which won't be happening....

The new flip combo would be very useful if Kaetlyn continues after 2018 and if the ISU indeed removes one jumping pass.

3f-3t
3f-1/2L-3s
2a-3t
3lz
3loop
2a

That way, she would still have 7 triples and 2 double axels... without that combo she would do

3f-3t
3lz
2a-3t
3lo
3f
3s-2t-2lo

Here she would lose a 2a. So, perhaps in the future ;)

Shes a force to be reckoned with for sure! still, don't know why people are undermining her even after worlds.

Cherry blossom, she's now under everyone's competitive radar, and others are realizing that her fierceness is real. A year ago (except for a few of us on here), she was not viewed as a threat. Finlandia last fall changed that for Kaetlyn, defeating 2 former world champions and the world bronze medalist from the previous worlds. The GP season and worlds confirmed, what we already knew. ;)

improvement : she attempted one more triple in this LP.. so 6 versus 5 at wild rose... She fell on the 3loop but that's okay. Work in progress..... I wonder where he will put the 3 jump combo.... after the salchow or after the 2a?

^^ I think after the 2a, given her comfort with the 2a, and her success from last season. ;)

yes but she went directly into some arm choreo there... ... at first i thought it was going to be there as well.. then... oups... arm motion on the music??? maybe she was a bit behind?

i find is also a bit risky since the long choreo sequence with the arabesque, eagles and split jump must be tiring at the end of the program and THEN 2a... last year she had the sequences AFTER the jumps... oh well.. gives me more reasons to keep watching ;) Go Kaetlyn !!! Great showing once more

Her long program has already improved a lot from the first outing. It looks much more comfortable for her to perform, as it should. Just that pesky 3loop..... well done, kaetlyn, keep it going...

And the silver medalist from the previous year's worlds. Sadly, anytime a skater rises to the top they get attacked.

Sorry folks, been away for a few weeks with visits to PEI, NF and London, UK...'Wicked' is wonderful but 'Miranda' is INCREDIBLE!. I see this Thread is now on page 3, so I thought I would add the following comment from KO's Worlds LP, from a YouTuber, as her LP has been my go-to the past summer.

"Technically good, artistically very good, but aesthetically life-giving. One of the most watchable women's skaters since Katerina Witt. Absolutely devastating smile. Thank you Edmonton for sharing this gift with the World!"

I could not agree more with this author, except, ...thank you Edmonton and Newfoundland! ;)

Another recent interview promoting Skate Canada International...

Kaetlyn Osmond, a silver medallist at the 2017 world figure skating championships, visited Regina on Monday [August 21, 2017] to promote Skate Canada International (Oct. 26-29, Brandt Centre). As part of her local media tour, the three-time Canadian champion spoke with the Regina Leader-Post’s Rob Vanstone.

Is there a link? I only get a picture

I think they tease us on Facebook and Twitter to buy the hard copies.

There is a simple text with the picture though, in Chinese with English translation you can click on.
