Thinking of programs for next year, I go back to Moncton 2012, as a go to happy place and have watched monsoon wedding, again and again. It has become one of my go-to's for sure. I would LOVE to she her do another Bollywood or something else to monsoon wedding.

And, just for old time sake, here's a 16 year old Kaetlyn, who landed in 1st place at nationals after the sp in her senior debut. Whatda?

I really like that Double Axel at the beginning and all her jumps really. It's like she flies upwards without putting any kind of power behind it at all (which she does of course).
 
In the "Wishes and Hopes" post I made over in the general discussion area, my number one wish for Kaetlyn in the coming season is to win Four Continents.

Partly because no Canadian woman has ever done that. Joannie surely have managed it, had her prime period not overlapped with Mao and Yuna; Gabby was probably a mistake or two away from doing it last year. But moreso, because Four Continents has a particularly anomalous place in Kaetlyn's competitive history, even in the last two "good" seasons where things started to come together. She's had her share of disappointing free skates in that period, but 2017 Four Continents is the one outright debacle that comes to mind. And, obviously, she didn't go to 2018 Four Continents because of the Olympics.
 
Hoping Kaetlyn will do Skate America for Grand Prix.

Vancouver & Victoria BC are only a relatively few hours away. There's even Calgary & Edmonton flights to SeaTac International flight from Alaska Airlines & Edmonton-SeaTac + Toronto-SeaTac flights by Air Canada.

So hoping for the best. Aren't you?

I mean I could see a whole "KAETLYN" Cheering section holding court!

Yes, overtaken in her moment of joy by a carpet, no doubt. I guess better a carpet than another skater ;) I LOVED how she recovered, smiled and laughed it off. It is so true that saying in life, it's not how you fall, but it's how you recover after a fall that matters :biggrin:
 
My mother and I will also be at the Halifax show. It'll be an overnight trip from Charlottetown, but on the plus it's an excuse to take a day off work.

I'm sure they've done market research on this, but I'm a bit surprised that they don't include St. John's on the tour. It's a sizeable population area, and they've got a local favourite -- and whereas New Brunswickers and Islanders traveling to Halifax isn't a big deal, the ferry journey from the Rock is a lot more arduous, so I wouldn't expect a huge turnout from there.

Some of it depends on the availability of a suitable venue. It could also be that they couldn't fill the Halifax arena without you "travelers". They may even get a good deal on the Halifax venue because SOI generates tourism dollars.

Yes, and they are growing adding Montreal this year for a change. Colonel Green would know this for sure, but I remember hearing that the event was a sell out here in Halifax last year.
 
Kaetlyn was on Evgenia's Instagram story yesterday. They were in a karaoke place together, with Kaetlyn singing along with an English song as Meagan had the mike
(at least I think that's who they all were; it was a little dark:laugh:)
