Update of Kanako: Before Mao announced her withdrawal from 4CC, Kanako thought since she couldn’t make it to neither 4CC nor WC, she’d rather use the time left this season to prepare for the next. So she had already started preparing for the next season. She changed a new pair of boots and began to pick new music. Now that she has the chance to go to 4CC, her primary task is to adjust herself to her new boots. (Not sure if I understand all info correctly from the article:
http://www.tokyo-np.co.jp/article/sports/list/201602/CK2016020502000237.html. I will be thankful if anyone who speaks Japanese can confirm.)
I am glad that this time, Kanako doesn’t talk about retirement anymore. She is not the girl who feels lost and not sure if she would continue to skate. She now is determined to go for it and looks forward earnestly to the next season. If she opts to stay for season 16-17, then I am pretty much sure she will continue all the way to season 17-18. After all, nobody will quit just before the Olympics season, right??
Your reading is correct skatefan22 per rosewood of fsuniverse: Japanese Figure Skating news & translations, 2015/16 season. My heart ached for Kanako upon reading there that she cried a lot at her results which meant she did not make it to the team either for Worlds or 4CC for the first time since she made her senior debut. Now that she IS part of Japan's 4CC team, I wish her redemptive skates in the competition she won in 2014, new boots notwithstanding.
I'd love for Kanako to continue to compete until Pyeongchang, and will pray that she gets the results that will motivate her to do so.

You showed your fight by saving that 2A, the jump that has given you so much grief in the past. I didn't mind so much the random cuts in your music this time because you appeared to be so into your performance (thought your PCS could be higher). And after that fierceness on ice that could rival Ashley Wagner's in her MR program, it was so cute to see you revert to your adorable, childlike self in the K & C. I appreciate how you didn't forget to thank the absent Machiko Yamada. Kanako preparing for 4CC: 3S-3LO (ft.)
Is that planned for the long? I would love to see her upgrade her content so that she actually will have the chance to podium. I want to see her happy face. She still looked a bit scared to me when she came on the ice today, but I hope that she'll gain confidence from that skate. The SP has been her strength so I'm a bit apprehensive about her LP. Good luck, Kanako!
I'm soooooooooooo happy for Kanako's performance, hope she keeps it up in the free :luv17:
There was a lot of unexpected surprises today, Kanako being one of them.Revenge!! I am in tears!
