Well, this prove one thing: Kanako doesn't skate for winning or anything likely, but for her own enjoyment. That's a good spirit, imo. Her smile says it all.Kanako SP at Japan National 2016 (The new dress doesn't look good in photo but looks very nice on ice in motion)

According to this article, Kanako has stress fracture on her left foot and has been getting treatment all this month. Good job for delivering a clean skate tonight.
She will graduate soon from university in 2017 spring and will discuss her future with her coach.

I hope she will go as well, didn't she win last time? It would be nice for her to end her career on a last victory. Even if the competition is not the biggest one, it will still be a tough one, considering other skaters like Elena and Liza will go as well.I'm afraid that she will retire (very) soon. Her performance and postperformance was so emotional ... like a farewell.
Kanako pls. go to the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty. Don't retire yet :sad4:
Motivational coach. Just watch her in the KnC in the future, cheering her students on, instead of showing a stone face.
