I felt same as she looked uncomfortable with the SP, thinking about Dance Macabre EX from last season, which was originally made as SP. But Mai didn't change Libertango SP last season, so it seems unlikely that Kaori will change SP. Let's hope the program grows on her.

She got 2 'e's on her flips, while her lutz was clean. I was confused when I first looked at the protocols but looking at the video she was wobbling a bit in entrances in both of them.

Her Flip edge was actually correct, as always. Maybe they wanted to give an e for the Lutz and got confused? (that's very ISU like)
It's the only explanation because that edge was inside while the Lutz was also inside so, that should've got a call, not the Flip.

In the replay part, the commentator Yaginuma also mentioned that for Kaori's flip jump in combination it looked like in slight outside egde. Another possibility is that Kaori is working on correcting the Lutz edge, which influenced her flip edge that's usually correct.

They focused on 02 mili second of her Flip entry and ignore the rest... that was the reason.

Glad to see Kaori finally perform this short cleanly. Hopefully some clips or replays will surface later on.
ETA: found her SP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G3R1WYS8R4. She looks lovely, beautiful dress and smiles. Still dislike the song, but I can accept this, really like the spiral and love her loop entry as always. She's so adorable, love this girl!
Hope she kills it in the LP, she's been pretty stable with it in previous competitions, so I hope this trend continues. *knock on wood*
