Loving the spiral section in Kaori’s FS, it suits the music so much!
Shame about the fall as she was so close to the podium, but she skated so beautifully. Her jumps are big and powerful but are landed with a buttery smoothness that's to die for. Her spiral sequence also gives me life! I hope she continues to improve and finds herself on the worlds podium some day!

One of the things I love about Kaori is that rather then feeling down/stressed/etc. when she fell, she gave a little laugh and got right back up again. Makes me feel like she is just having the best time out there and taking things with stride. Cheering her on for JNats!

Congratulations to Kaori on her SP today at nationals! She was absolutely fantastic. I hope she'll keep it together in the FS and podium again, heck, maybe even win... The other ladies are lovely, but Kaori is still my sentimental fav of the crop.

Kaori combine such a great features.
She is smooth on ice like a top japanese skater, but her jumps are so high and she have a unique style.
I love when she do those moves that seem like she's unbalancing themself, and then she take full control of it

I've been openly unhappy with her programs this season but never been overly joy to be proven wrong before. Wow just wow! Seeing her transformed into phenomenon skater has been a good ride. Her winning is a cherry on top. She is now officially my Japanese Misty Copeland.

Soooooo proud of Kaori today!! I was at the edge of my seat throughout her whole free skate, and she genuinely brought tears to my eyes by the end. That program is truly special. My favorite part of it all though was her reaction to her scores. Her smile and excitement made my morning! So proud of her, I hope she can repeat performances like that at 4CC and worlds (so excited she'll be on the teams!!).
