The worst bit? Kaori just needed to tack on a 2Lo anywhere in her FS. Anywhere. She didn't have a 3 jump combination. She was certainly capable of getting silver.

Oh Kaori. Today was almost perfect except for the fluke mistake on the axel, which happened to be the 3 jump combo. But better now then at worlds, and she should still be happy with how she skated

Was gutted to see Kaori's reaction to her 4th place finish last night, but it seems she will be going to Disneyland with Mai! Hopefully that will cheer her up some more.

Kaori always has the cutest reactions.. after she finishes skating and after the her result is announced.. simply adorable.. but of course, it's her skating that is the best about her, always a pleasure to watch.. hopefully she will rebound at the worlds!

They're working on choreo as well. Benoit had an ig story where Kaori did her choreo sequence from her fs, so I think they're combining improving her jumps and choreo.

I believe it was. I've never seen anyone do that ever. Although the utility of using both flips in a single jumping pass...

I don‘t know why but I recently have a feeling that we might get an “unexpected“ result at Worlds. I can‘t explain it and I certainly don‘t want to jinx anything... just what my gut tells me.

Also: I‘ve seen her 10x 2A... that‘s insane!

I believe it was. I've never seen anyone do that ever. Although the utility of using both flips in a single jumping pass...

I believe Serafima Sakhanovich has done this combo before, and there are a few skaters doing 2A+eu+3f, so it isn't unheard of, but it's still very uncommon, and it's impressive that Kaori can do it and make it look easy

I think of Kaori as a spoiler, a dark horse for.....I don't wanna jinx it either. So excited for Worlds.
