Congrats to Kaori! 
Her two beautifully skated programs was the highlight of the women’s competition for me and I am thrilled for her that she was rewarded.

After Kaori's free skate yesterday, her FS music is constantly playing in my head. Any other time, it would be annoying; but after that performance, I'm not complaining.

I have no choice because the broadcast of her skate is on repeat in the background all day.
Does anyone know who was speaking the Louisa May Alcott quotes towards the end of Kaori's FS music?
It's not Imany or Ellie Goulding and it's not on Kaori's official soundtrack version either.
Looks like Richaud added this later. The cut is totally different from Japanese nationals, when it's in horrible place talking over her final spin. Maybe that's why people hated this program earlier in the season.
Wow! Such an excellent choice he made to move this to her choreo sequence. Perfect right there!
This program is a masterpiece! One of the greatest free skates of all times!

Day 4 and I am still watching Kaori's FS. Needed a change, and moved to watching SP as well. Simply spectacular programs of the competition.
I love her SP (Now We Are Free is one of my favorite music) and Kaori skates it so well, but her FS program is just another galaxy. Richaud put two different songs together, then added Louisa May Alcott quotes spoken over the original soundtrack. That's just so creative and everything worked perfect. Kaori skated the skate of her life.
Seriously could anyone else have skated that program and pulled it off? That's what I love about Kaori, besides being the best skater of her generation, her skating is one-of-a-kind and her programs are unique. This is a sport where almost all the ladies try to be the perfect princess and skate to the same music over and over again, but she skated to something new and no other woman skater in history could have pulled off that program let alone on Olympic ice.
What a powerful message too-- combining strength and beauty as a woman in a sport littered with the emaciated bodies of abused teenage girls.
Kaori Sakamoto slayed the whole Olympics for me. Sugoi!
Oh and her costumes for all of her programs are lovely!Totally agree. She was the class of the field--skating skills, speed and flow across the ice. I also love this program on her.

Don't laugh, but I was switching channels and it came up on Sakamoto wearing her Matrix costume. I usually just watch men skate but I said "Any chick who has the guts to wear a dress like that, I have to see how she skates." Well, you know that program and how she skates it. I got reeled in and haven't stopped watching her since.
