Bravo! It's about time that women singles skaters have the option to wear leotards, pants, etc. as part of their competitive costumes. Frankly, I think these would be more flattering, and far more modest, than some of the current
"dresses" being worn that reveal far too much cleavage and far too much fanny.
Get the picture? Some of the costumes really distract from the overall presentation, I think, as people (myself included) spend more time wondering if a certain body part will pop out or otherwise unduly expose itself during the program than actually watching the program.
I remember that Paul and Isabel Dushenay wore matching pants, shirts, and vests in their long program during the 1991 season (I think). The program was called "Reflections", and it featured a great deal of shadow skating and opposite poses. The costumes looked great on Paul and Isabel. For various reasons, this program was shelved after the Europeans and not skated at the Worlds.
