Kazuki Tomono

TOMONO CURRY Trading Card Casual Guide ⑤ Bar Counter🍛
I’d adopted the ‘snap a photo whenever I get the chance!’ approach during the TV programme recording, and with the programme director’s kind permission, I was able to take this shot on the studio set during a break.

It’s a rather mature-looking shot, as if Tomono-kun were listening in right beside me.

Daiichi Juken also announced they will be at the Naniwa Figure Skating Festival:

The MELT posted a cute video of Kazuki teaching Takuro Ohno on the ice 🥹

and another trading card from Daiichi Juken:
TOMONO CURRY Trading Card Casual Guide ⑥ West Side🍛

This photo was taken on the fire escape at our head office, inspired by the image of *West Side Story*—the programme that first brought Tomono to the attention of a wider audience.
It is the same photo featured on the athlete support page of our official website.

Mainichi report on Kazuki's online event earlier this month (behind a paywall):

TOMONO CURRY Trading Card Casual Guide ⑦ Album Cover 🍛

When Tomono appeared in a corporate promotional video last year, we filmed around Kinki University in Higashiosaka, which served as the location. This is a photo we’d been discussing with Tomono for some time, noting that his pose against the backdrop of the shopping street looked ‘just like a record cover’.

TOMONO CURRY Trading Card Casual Guide ⑧ Go-Go Bon Odori 🍛
A shot capturing the choreography for ‘That’s It’.
We’d originally planned to shoot from directly above, but we just couldn’t get a shot we were happy with.
Thanks to Tomono’s suggestion to switch to a side angle, we managed to get the shot we wanted.

My memory is like a sieve, has this Nikkan article about Kazuki and Sota's friendship been shared? It's normally behind a paywall, but someone gifted it to the public for a limited amount of time, so you can currently read it if you switch the text into English.

I will never get tired of reading about their friendship, so wholesome :love2:

Meanwhile, here's another trading card from Daiichi Juken:

TOMONO CURRY: A Casual Guide ⑩ Ennui 🍛
I took him to the shoot location with the idea of him striking a pose straddling the back of a chair, but even before I’d explained it, he started striking all sorts of poses in that very stance.
Just like with INOVE’s Tomono-kun, the moment I saw his expression on set, I knew straight away that it would make a great trading card.

I am also super excited for the La La Land collab, praying we will get to see the video!

Meanwhile, the Onsen Club is back :love2: There will be an online event with Kazuki, Sota, Mitsuki and Taichiro, for the first time in three years:

and some sad news from Daiichi Juken: the PR person, the one that has supporting Kazuki so much over the past few years, is leaving the company 😢 I really hope whoever gets to replace them is just as passionate about Kazuki.

The good news is that Kazuki confirmed he has continue to have support from his sponsors, in a long article about his decision to continue competing:

Awe missed my chance to read it!

Whoever came up with the (bumble)bee number has a brilliant mind :

Kazuki and Nobu after their transformation from bees into corn (with Kai Hasegawa) :ROFLMAO::

With Oda-kun and Kazuki!
I had such a brilliant time performing this ‘Bee’ routine!
Everyone was absolutely brilliant!!

Indeed, do you know the context of this number 😄 The costumes are so cute and hilarious

Not sure if there is a lot of context. I think they probably just threw it in to have an adorable and fun number? I'd really love to know who came up with the idea (was it Kana?)

From Deep Edge Plus:

The performance also featured comical and entertaining moments. In ‘The Flight of the Bumblebee’ (Rimsky-Korsakov), nine skaters, including Nobunari Oda and Kazuki Tomono, donned bee-inspired costumes, creating a charming group dance.

This is the original music (maybe they added lyrics/vocals since Eliana and Kai were part of the number?):

And a fan posted this description accompanied by a cute illustration:

The bumblebees’ flight 🐝 was so cute and memorable 😊 It was absolutely adorable seeing Onuma-kun striking Ami Nakai’s pose 🥰 Kosho-kun and Yuki-kun looked so cute when they were on the verge of tears after getting told off, and at the end, when everyone was transforming into flowers, Tomono-kun and Oda-kun unexpectedly turned into corn—they were just too cute. It was such a fun number 🐝
