Really long interview with some really nice points. I really admire Kazuki for his self-awareness regarding his mistakes and shortcomings, but I do hope he manages to get more confidence as the season progresses... It sounds like he's being a bit too hard on himself.
Also, I had noticed the Shoma-like neckless, hadn't appreciated it was a present from Shoma himself!

Thanks for the link and to the translator. In this one he mentioned himself about the high expectations which I think is playing a part of how the pressure shows on his performances till now. It is something quite new to him and he needs to learn to deal with it and still delivers. Hopefully he gets over some of it with each competition and wish he can get to have a good satisfying performance soon that give him the confidence he needs :pray:

I did notice the necklace too, really happy to know it was a present from Shoma. Really love their bonding and looking forward to see more of it in Skate Canada :luv17:

Definitely. I really hope for this competition he manages to relax and just skate his best. This is all he needs to do (I know, easier said than done).

I'm really hoping for some footage from the ABC interview as it will be a nice way to relax and take our minds away from the worry about the competition :laugh:

Yah, I am so anxious for SC too. Can't even imagine how the skaters feels, if I am feeling like this :laugh:

Some things to note

Kazuki is introduced as the potential “Third Guy” following Yuzuru Hanyu and Shoma Uno.

Kazuki was not happy at all with Kinki Regionals. He was disappointed with his failed quads.
He was really impressed with Daisuke’s theatrical performance and feels fortunate to be skating close to him.

He is often thought younger for his age due to his looks.
He likes strawberry milk based alcohol (?)

After numerous attempts TV Asahi finally succeeded in making Kazuki say he admired Yuzuru (he usually always says Daisuke Takahashi is his idol).
Actually, Kazuki said he was astounded by Yuzuru’s “Olympics performance”, how he could skate like that under such circumstances, and hopes to become a top skater like a Yuzuru Hanyu and Shoma Uno.
 
I also liked his description of Daisuke as some one who as risen beyond skating.

SP run through, 4S<(fall), 3F3T, 1A
I also thought he doubled his 3A but upon replay it was just a single.
Kazuki has said he actually can no longer jump a 2A. (so unfortunately, if he pops his 3A, it's almost always going to be a 1A)
Jumped a beautiful 4S and 3A after the run throughs.
 
Thanks for the updates, everyone! I watched his run-through earlier, yes he messed the jumps, but choreo was gorgeous!

Just watched his FS run-through, still botched a couple of jumps, but definitely better than Lombardia!

Am I going completely insane, or he looks more grown-up? :shocked:
 
@ AQFS, pfft, a simple cold won't stop Kazuki ;) Go, Kazuki, fingers crossed! I hope he skates a performance that he's satisfied with.
 
The competition is so fierce OMG, I can't even imagine what is going to happen in the FS!!! but good job for our Ramen boy setting a new SB season best (81.63), he did well given his condition.

I was so nervous and couldn't even watch it live, have to go watch it with more relaxed mind :)

But great to see him looking happy and celebrating with his Ramen gift, lol :laugh:

May be this health set back gave him more push :) Hope he really gets a bit better and it won't affect much his FS which requires much more stamina
