Last year's Kyoto festival was broadcasted in May, but I have no idea how it'll be this year.

Prince Ice World in Yokohama on May 3-5

It says TV Kanagawa (local tv network in Yokohama) is airing last years piw vid with shoma, keiji, tomono's parts on March 21.

Thanks! :)
Also, he will be at this year's Dreams on Ice!
Last year he revealed his SP at that show, so hopefully there will be a programme reveal this year too! 🙏

It's soooo Kazuki to be the host! I wonder who was the owner of the cards?

Here's a couple of fan arts!
https://twitter.com/nozomi500k4/status/1105844777918971906 - I don't know what it says exactly, but it seems it's about his hair at Universiade?
https://twitter.com/amk62469130/status/1105801024776790017 - This is about 'White Day', in which boys are expected to reciprocate the presents they received from girls on Valentine's Day...

I'm sure Tsurara would be able to explain better, but they're both cute so I wanted to share ;)

The first ones, the left, Tomono entering a ramen shop ordering a bowl (as he came back to Japan?), but the shop is already closed. ("さらっ" is the sound of Noren.) The right one is Hiroaki saying "Both of you, show your faces first!" + something like "foreheads for men, right?" because both Tomono-kun and Shu-kun kinda keep hiding their faces with their long bangs. Shu: "Ahhhh, cut it out!" Tomono: "Nooo, embarrassing!"
Not sure about the white day one (probably just celebrating), but I guess that sweater is from spur? moe photo, perhaps?

btw, I had totally forgotten to post these for you
This one is from Doshisha Univ vid from last November.

and another old vid from 2015 Japan Juniors (koshiro, sota, and tomono-kun in Bollywood costume), someone uploaded it last December it seems.

Thank you so much for translating the fan art, Tsurara!
Also, thank you for the links, and please, no need to apologise! Your contributions to this thread are amazing, we are so privileged to have you sharing so much content with us :luv17:

Whooooaaaa thank you for the links! Another 4T!!!! Although I do worry about his landing, sounded a bit harsh on his knee (and he even made a little grunt afterwards). I am all for him training the 4T, but please don't overdo it, Kazuki!

The ramen in Eliska's story looks yum! Looked like Kazuki gave a great recommendation

This appeared on my TL this morning... They both look tired, obviously working really hard: https://twitter.com/MishaGe_JP/status/1107242616586788867

I'm really happy that the partnership between him and Misha is continuing and they are already working on next season! I hope Misha gets to go back to Osaka after Worlds so they can spend more time together (and hopefully some more pics/stories)!

Looks like Misha coached Tomono-kun and Eliska Brezinova at Osaka pool ice rink, likely before and after a short-track competition. So early in the morning and late at night... tough! (I was wondering if Tomono-kun was at Rinspo rink where Koshiro visited on 16th.) I missed the ramen photo, I wonder what kind of ramen he introduced to her!

I got some extra time to waste today, so here it is, a translation to the Doshisha univ video.

My purpose 挑戦する人(People who challenge)

Hi, I'm Kazuki Tomono, a 2nd year student of Health and Sports Science.

- What made you start figure skating?

There was an ice rink in my neighborhood, very close to my house, and I went there just to play. Then, I seriously started the sport about when I was in the first or second grade of elementary school, as I was introduced to Taijin Hiraike as a coach, who I’ve still been learning from. He’s very strict, I was very scared of him and I almost felt like I was forced to do it. (laugh) To be completely honest, I was just too scared of him and couldn’t quit skating.

- What is it that you keep in mind for practice/training?

We have this practicing session called “Program Practice” (run-through) in figure skating. Many skaters often skip some elements, like spins and certain stuff in the second half, when they do a whole run-through. But I was always told, since I was little, never to skip any elements but do the whole thing with everything thoroughly with all my might. I still keep this habit as something very important.

- What do you find important/place emphasis on at competitions?

Figure skating is such a popular sport that many people show up to fill the seats and give us cheers. So I always keep in mind that I should go ahead and enjoy my performance at a competition.

- About your study at Faculty of Health and Sports Science, Doshisha University

I’ve been learning about human movements, like how we move our bodies or to observe what we usually do (body movement) from the academic points of view, and I've had many surprising, discoveries.

- About your favorite, ramen.

I’ve always loved ramen quite a lot since I was little, but (seriously started loving it more) after I became a high school student, I started traveling around all over Japan for competitions. Especially when I went to Hakata, it made me too happy. (laugh) I go eating ramen after a competition, and/or beforehand, hoping to bring me a luck or just to motivate myself with ramen to get some power.

- Your future goal

My future goal is to represent Japan for Olympics and get a medal.

oh yes, tonkotsu-chashu!
Is that what it is?
Just saying what I saw in the photo lol (I take it that you know what tonkotsu and chashu are?)
There are too many ramen shops in Osaka and I'm not familiar with them, so I can't pin-point which one he recommended, but from my very limited knowledge, it does look like one from Ippudo (franchise, one in London too), particularly, one called "Akamaru-Special" to me.
The pdf menu below is from a branch shop in my town, so it may not be exactly the same with the ones in Osaka, but see the 2nd page pic?
https://s3-ap-northeast-1.amazonaws...2015/08/08094840/180802_matsuyama_webmenu.pdf

Also, don't underestimate Tomono-kun's popularity in Japan

Thanks for the explanation, Tsurara! I have had ramen in the UK, but I bet it's much, much nicer in Japan
I dream of visiting Japan and going on a Kazuki-inspired tour, visiting all the ramen shops he tagged on his Instagram ;)

Kazuki also recorded a message for new students joining his college

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-aEN6uYcDY

He introduced himself (he called himself a 3rd year student now!), congratulated the new students, and gave an advice, saying something along the line of "find something, whatever suits you, but you need to find at least one thing to work on (to achieve) during your university life" and wished them to enjoy their student life. It didn't look like he was prepared enough for this shooting, he made a lot of speech errors and quite a bit of repetitions which probably makes it even harder for you to catch what he's saying.

It seems the sticker on the screen says 'Property of Chukyo University'... Which is the university of his BFF Sota Yamamoto!
Maybe they watched the Men event together ;)
Remember he practices at the NTC rink (in Chukyo univ) on weekends? He was probably preparing for Kyoto Festival and ice shows too! But yeah, I guess you're right, maybe they were watching it together! (Many fans and some media reported that a lot of Jp skaters showing up in Saitama Super arena to cheer skaters, but I didn't find Sota in any of them.)
