Kazuki's alive! He was having a convo with Wakaba about hay fever on Twitter.
I remember this happened last year too, it's almost like an annual event at this point 😆

I think it's a FS only event and will be held with no spectators.

That would explain his relative silence on social media - this is probably the last time he'll be competing as Doshisha University student, so I'm sure he'll want to do well.

The pressing question now is: Will we see blonde Moulin Rouge? :drama:
 
Guys, it’s official, La La Land is going to be Kazuki’s next free ☹️ and he choose the music, I thought it was Misha...

I hope he will surprise me like he did with the Moulin Rouge
 
ehh, someone said a few years back that all the warhorses get dragged out of the cupboard for the Olympic season, and I guess that's true. I guess I should be glad Kazuki hasn't picked Carmen, Notre Dame, Turandot or Clair de Lune... Well, he sold his Roxanne and he sold his West Side Story, so maybe LLL will prove a lucky pick as well. But it's sure overused so no great jubilation from me. Kazuki is too good to skate to warhorses. And for me he doesn't embody the sugary-sweet male voices from LLL (or Maria for that matter...).
I hope Kazuki goes for something out of the box for the SP at least. :pray:
 
OK, having had some time to think: I'm still not happy about La La Land 😂
But I'm happy it's a jazz cut, he's been saying he wanted to do a jazz programme for a while. Jazz isn't easy, so I'm happy he's feeling confident enough to take on this challenge. I'm now praying Misha's uses some less overused music cuts :pray:
And yes, I hope he does something completely different for the SP!

- Kazuki posted an IG story with his Doshisha figure skating club kouhai Sumitada Moriguchi, calling him the club's 'new powerful ace': https://www.instagram.com/p/CL9Vkz9lr8p/. So I have to ask once again because I keep forgetting - Kazuki only has one rink now, yes? And he's graduating at the end of this month?

From what I understand, he's been training at a mix of different rinks, since his main base Naniwa Sports Centre has been closed for maintenance since May 2020. Thinking about, this could have contributed for his struggles this season...

So yes, he will be graduating soon and he's now retired from the figure skating club, so it's fair to assume he won't be using the university rink from now on. However, we know he has trained before at the Kinoshita Academy, Rinkai and Chukyo, so I believe he will probably be using one of these rinks for now.

Naniwa is scheduled to re-open in May so once that happens, he might still do some sessions at different rinks but at least he will have his 'skating home' again :pray:

She said Kazuki was very small and cute when younger, but she was shocked when she saw him recently on TV 😆
She said her, Kazuki and Sota (who she says was also very cute) used to play tag in between skating lessons.

Kazuki commented on Twitter, apparently brought him memories:
 
OMG, poor Kazuki! :eek: How mean. He really doesn't need this nonsense just when he's supposed to graduate.
 
Good news, everyone! Kazuki seems to have recovered his IG account, and his graduation ceremony is today!
He posted a picture of an incredibly well polished pair of shoes that he prepared for the big event.
Fingers crossed there will be some pictures :pray:
