Kazuki Tomono

If anyone finds a FS link which includes the Kiss n Cry..could you post it? I'd like to see Kazuki's reaction when he realizes that he has gotten the silver medal. TIA
I didn't see any, but apparently from his interviews, he wasn't super happy with his performances because of minor errors. He is a perfectionist, after all...

Some more post-Kinoshita content:

Alas, it's not only being a perfectionist: he knows, as did some before him, that none of his errors will remain uncalled, while pets' errors will. That's why non-pet skaters can't forget their minor errors after a skate, they have the pressure to be flawless.

LOL thanks for sharing, that's hilarious! The way he thinks of entertaining the audience even during the medal ceremony!

Couple of flour bazar IG posts to share, one just after Kinoshita, and one from today with their new support campaign:

Kazuki Tomono
ISU Cup Series Figure Skating Kinoshita Group Trophy 2025
Congratulations on your second-place finish!

Reading articles from numerous media outlets,
I'm deeply moved to see that not only Tomono,
but all the athletes are fighting through so many challenges.

Watching him calmly reflect on his own performance
brings moments that are hard to put into words—moments that tug at your heart..

Just as sunflowers stretch straight toward the sun,
we too will keep cheering for Tomono straight ahead.

Interview with Hana Bath, it seems she spoke about her experience of training with Kazuki 🥹

It seems Kazuki is doing Kinki after all - he is the face - or rather, the back 🍑😂 - of the event on FOD's website:

Wow! A good deal of it can be read without subscription! It's really a good idea because Kazuki Tomono having been, in my opinion, a late bloomer (or is it to justify that he passed so long under my own radar?) we may not know his beginnings.
He was a late bloomer and he went through a lot of difficult to get to where he is 🥹

Meanwhile, fleur bazar announced the results of the quiz - his hand was 'C'! I'm pleased with myself that I had got it right

Oh my god he scared me for a second before he did the no no with his finger and head. I hope he never does the backflip. Chris Howarth told me how dangerous it is with the backflip if you land wrong. I wonder what Kazuki and Junwa were saying at the start? Maybe he was speaking English to Junwa? I thought Kazuki didn't speak it much anymore compared to before when he did speak more English.

OK, I think this makes clear now that Kazuki is doing Kinki - it only says he's exempt from West Japan sectionals, but not Kinki regionals. That means, he'll have to compete again a week after Nebelhorn... Hope it'll be OK.

Article about Kazuki just after Kinoshita Trophy - part of the article is behind a paywall, but it's about his own analysis of his performance even though he medalled.

I recall an international judge saying competitions that are a week apart are less exhausting for the skater than competitions two weeks apart, which, according to them, is the most challenging schedule. Hopefully, it's also true when considerable timezone changes are involved. Fingers crossed Kazuki does well at both - and if necessary, he can afford to water down his content for Kinki, can't he? Who is he facing there?

This is exactly his schedule in the GP series + long flights + widely different timezones... Pray for him!

About Kinki, entries have just been released: https://www.jsfresults.com/non_resp....htm,National/2025-2026/fs_j/block5/index.htm

Kazuki's in it, as expected, most of the other guys wouldn't pose a threat... Maybe Shunsuke Nakamura or Haru Kakiuchi on a really good day. However, I also know that Kazuki is not one for watering down content, so I think he'll just do his normal layout.

After that, he'll have a four week break before his first GP assignment
