Definitely it's a bummer he let the gold just slip out of his grip :hslap: Perhaps the thought of a gold in such a high profile competition among thundering audience played a nasty trick on him. But no matter, he is always such a joy to watch!!! I am still happy for his silver as I had predicted, I am sure he will bring down the house at the Gala tomorrow!!! eace:

On a side note it made me chuckle seeing him suggesting Shoma that he should have hopped onto the podium with both feet a la Yuzu, after Shoma struggle to clamber onto the podium (this is getting hilariously customary )

I got to meet Keegan on that very same day, and he kindly posed for a photo with me!

Kudos on winning his first GP medal! The crowd gave him a standing ovation for both of his programs. Most singles skaters end their competitive career by the time they're 26, but he keeps getting better and better!

I said it in the Men's Free Skate thread, but I'll say it here too: Chaplin needs to retire. Not because it's not a great program - it is! - but it was originally designed to be the longer free program. Now it feels like the details are being forced/crammed into it and he seems to be rushed the whole time to make sure the components stay in. He doesn't seem as settled in it as last season. He already zips around at breakneck speed which can get him into trouble, he doesn't also need to feel like he's a half minute behind the entire program.

Saw a clip of Keegan and Yuzu hugging backstage, which made me mist up... so quick, but you could see how they both felt for what the other had gone through in this comp.
