I don't like gloves on any skater - think they're superfluous. BUT - for some reason it just worked for me with Kevin. I would love to know the significance. It was so refreshing to see him skate to his potential. I hope he continues this beautiful skating through the season.

Kévin explains the red murder gloves.

In the GS interview, (which is great and everyone should listen), Kévin explains that they represent the matador's cape, and he moves his hands during the program to create the effect of the matador's cape. They can also represent blood. He wanted to draw attention to his hands (he did ) and wanted black and red after the colors of Béjart.

Kevin! Kevin! You skated beautifully. I love the fact that he's found consistency after watching him splat for a few years. In any case, it's always a pleasure to watch him skate.
