Kevin Reynolds

It hasn't happened yet. November 5 and 6 is when it'll happen. So it's going to happen on this upcoming Thursday and Friday.

I'm not sure if there's going to be a livestream, but if there is, I'll definitely provide a link here.

I see a link on the competition page that says "Livestreams," so that's encouraging. Almost missed this thread but I look forward to seeing Kevin again!

Guys, I saw this this morning, and I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY did not at all want to share with you this.....but it wouldn't be fair because if I caused excitement, I will have to cause sadness as well if necessary.

Anyways, back to the point. I saw a tweet this morning from a Japanese fan account (Translated into English)....well in a way it's one.........and it led to a blog with something on it (Translated into English) relating to Kevin. So I checked to see if it was true....and unfortunately it looks like it's true....

Looks like he WD from sectionals. That's what I didn't want to share....

I'm sad as much as you guys are. :( But I'm trying to assure myself it's for the best. If he's not recovered and ready enough yet to compete, we have to respect that.

I'm so sorry to hear this; but I can only hope that it is indeed that he isn't wholly recovered yet, and is being careful of himself. We miss you, Kevin, but take care of yourself!

Definitely better to err on the side of caution...just look at Kaetlyn Osmond or Denis Ten. Nobody wants to see a performance like that & it might just delay his full recovery even more.

Well apparently I don't have to make you guys sad! Hopefully not anymore!

He's on the starting order for the 2016 Skate Canada Challenge! WHOOP WHOOP!!!

According to the schedule on the event page, the SP will start at 12:35 pm in the time zone of Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday the 5th. And the FP will be on Sunday the 6th at 10:35 am in that same time zone.

Now for the SP, I'll be at an event all morning and won't have to worry about the live results...the FP though...not so much....but I'll try to make myself busy by studying for my psychology test.

Not sure what his SP and FP will be. I'm assuming the same as last season, but I certainly could be wrong.

Okay. Tomorrow is the day for Kevin to skate and for him to get redemption and a spot at nationals.

According to the Skate Canada Challenge page, the men's SP will be in rink C and the men's FP will be in rink B. So I'll provide the links the the dailymotion livestream links for both of the rinks.

In addition, the schedule posted on the website says that Kevin is scheduled to skate tomorrow at around 3:14 pm mountain time. So that's 5:14 pm Eastern Standard Time. Or 7:14 am Sunday morning in Nagano, Japan.

FP times will definitely depend on how he does tomorrow so let's hope he does his best!

Go, Kevin! Wishing him the very best!

I hope someone will upload videos - I wonder if he has new programs and if so what they are?

They have two spots so national champ gets one. I meant to say send second, third and fourth to 4CC. but the second got deleted somehow. 4CC let's you always send three, so they could send silver, bronze and pewter to 4CC to battle for the second and last spot to worlds.

That would puts undue pressure and stress on the skaters at this event and at Worlds if chosen. They only use 4CC as a selection criterion if the fed is indecisive about whom to send to Worlds because the Nationals results are really close or they actually favor a lower placed skater over the silver medalist. Mostly this idea is not well received by the skaters and their fans.

But for Kevin, this practice competition should be no problem as a qualifier for Nationals. It is important, however, that he is really physically and mentally really to come back to the big events.

Timely turn of good luck to Kevin!

Skate Canada has live streaming and also uploads all vids of each skater to their dailymotion account.

Not to mention if he does make it to the World or 4CC team, (Which might be a huge stretch for hoping, but it never hurts to hope), he'll have to get the TES minimum for the SP. FP, I think his TES is good to go. Not sure. But I know his SP TES is not at the minimum unless he can get it before Worlds...

Today's the day!!!!! The day that Kevin skates his SP!

(I wanted to celebrate by this being my 3,000th post, but I accidentally made another post before this but let's pretend this is my 3,000th. Shhhhhhhhh.)

77.73 - 2nd place by less than 1 point.

He looks great considering he hasn't competed properly in ages! And I'm a complete anime ignoramus, but I do know the Cowboy Bebop Theme...cool choice & very Kevin! Hope his FS is just as good.

Protocol

I'm so happy that Kevin could come back with his big jumps even though his 4S was UR and he didn't receive great GOE. Hope for a good LP tomorrow.

Is this the only competition he is doing before the Nationals?
