Kevin Reynolds

you know, his two quads were very closed not to be downgraded to my untrained eye... i had to really look at the slow mo to agree with the judges... it reminds me of a certain time when he at the previous competition was downgraded... then showed up at 4CC and was just able to turn them ;) i think it's a speed factor for him and he will get there... i was very happily surprised with his skate and of course, i will sound like a broken record but he should be going to the worlds.

I wish he was as well. As I'm going to see the men's FP. But unfortunately, he didn't reach the TES min for the SP. He did for the FP. And Liam has both TES mins needed. So rule-wise, it's a fair decision to have Liam go instead of Kevin, but for my enjoyment, I wish Kevin was going instead.

But hopefully he'll get a GP next season! I really hope he does! It'll be his first since....wow 2012. WOW. WOW. Last time he did a GP I was still in high school.

This was a really powerful performance, I thought - he held nothing back. And he didn't let the fall faze him at all, but just went on with the program. Loved it. :) I'm so glad Kevin's back.:)

Agreed. I really love his new program. With much improved posture and skating of Kevin over these years, classical piece of music now suits him very well. I hope he will keep this free program. Well done, Kevin! :points:

Just saw Kevin's name listed among the entries of Sportland Trophy:

I bet he's hungry to get that SP TES min. I'm pretty sure that's why. But that's a quick turn-around if you ask me...okay maybe not really but everything is blending together for me to be honest. By that I mean the time between the 4CC and this.

It's funny that I mentioned that there's only a few competitions left.

Well today's the day of the SP and the competition is 1:39 pm Eastern Standard Time.

http://www.sportorszag.hu/downloads/trophy2016/ISU/SEG138.HTM The starting order is here and he's skating first so I'll be able to see how he does before I leave to cheer at the last home game of the season.

And well lol he posted a selfie (I can't believe it lol) on his Instagram that the SP is happening tonight (Well in Hungary) and that meant I lost the bet I made and took a cold shower.

i have a good feeling about Kevin today :)

Next season will be very interesting for the Canadian men and who will get that #2 spot. Nam will probably rebound as well as hopefully Kevin. I'm not sure how well Firus will do - as much as I also like his skating.

i think liam needs to make most of his opportunity right now... he's a gorgeous skater but i don't think he will beat nam and kevin next year... kevin is getting closer with his quads

AND even more good news! After waiting impatiently for the protocols to be released, they're up and it said both quads were fully rotated, though one fell and both had negative GOEs, the triple axel got positive GOE, he attempted a 3-3-3 combo and underrotated the last triple in it but it still garnered 13.82 points and he doubled the lutz.

Mighty impressive if you ask me since 3-3-3 jumps don't seem to happen a lot.
