He was wonderful! I was looking forward to seeing the bear dressed up for this free skate being gifted to him. Maybe he already has it. Anyway, wishing the very best for him. Loved watching his coach crying out of happiness on the sidelines last night. I will miss seeing his spunky head of hair in competition too. :laugh:
 
Today marks 4 years since I became a fan of Kevin! What a journey it has of me being a fan of him. But a journey I'm happy I was a part of. :)

If he is actually going to compete, then great.

If so, I have a theory why. Perhaps he sees that it's his last chance to get the Canadian title. Since Chan is gone, Firus is gone, and Balde is gone. It's wide open this year.

it is and it is not... keegan is really the top dog at this point... but with kevin's fast rotations, if he can control his UR... he can score HUGE. i would love it for him to bring back his 4cc shape when he beat everyone ...

How did I miss this? The top stop is wide open cause for a while minus one season it wasn't. I completely agree with you. He has to watch out for Keegan.

That makes me happy - I like Kevin (I admit partly for entirely frivolous reasons, his hair, his outre costumes and his wonderfully medieval face :) but I do like the skating too!)
 
Does anyone know what score Kevin got in the SP at the BC/YK Summerskate? I completely forgot about it and the website isn't working.

I can't imagine he'll have time to put together a polished new FP before NHK - but then again, all his old programs are designed for the former scoring program and will be 30 sec too long now :( Maybe they can find a similar piece of music so that he can keep the choreo & jump combos from his current seasons program? IDK it's such a mess. Poor Kevin, this must be so frustrating.
 
He's found another piece, thank goodness, and it sounds like a good one.
