As you wrote about names. No relationship here but this guy reminded me of the "famous" Nobu with the same name
maybe named partly after him?
How does that work in Japan? Or is it really a thing? Like with Mao Shimada?

Also there's lots of familiar names in theses (regional) tables across all threads but I feel silly thinking "maybe a relative of X" every time and it would be even sillier to ask it
It's just that there are several really widespread surnames, right?

There are a lot of common Japanese surnames like Honda, Tanaka and Suzuki but Nobuyoshi Oda is actually Nobunari Oda's nephew
