Ladies - Free Program

The feed's sorta dying on me so I haven't been able to see the last few- but WOW for Mao and poor Yu-Na and Kimmie...
Well, not so much Yu-Na. THAT score with TWO falls?!

24 Miki ANDO JPN
Music: Violin Concerto by Mendelssohn / deep red with semisheer arms /
Nice opening chor to the lyrical violin / 3z3l / 3s / 3f / deathdrop with variations is good / spirals - nice edge & extension but torso is too low on the coe / 3z / 3t2l2l / 3f2l / 2a / combo spin is good / strt steps as music picks up - dynamic and lyrical at the same time / combo spin ending in foot to head in front / layback spin to foot to head to end the program / and a standing O and lots of applause / there was applause every time she landed a jump but not the cheers and roar for Mao /

PB 125.85 TES 67.66 PCS 59.45 tot 127.11 new pb gr tot 195.09 2nd in FP 1st overall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY GOODNESS, ANDO STEALS THE TITLE FROM ASADA!!!

What an exciting competition.
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR ALL THE UPDATES!!!!!!!!1

Congrats to the medalists!!
Can't wait for the next season already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY MIKI!!
I'm pretty happy with this podium. MUCH prefer Miki's programs to Mao's, and Yu-Na managed to hang in there for the bronze.

I think the right three girls got on the podium, although the order I had in mind might have been shuffled a little bit.

Too bad Kim couldn't pull off a long program of a same caliber, but everyone gets nervous and even more so when your back aches, right??
Big props to Ando and Asada for delivering the goods when it mattered under enormous stress.

As for our American ladies, good job!
I thought Kimmie would wind up fourth even with her best skates if those three didn't falter in a major way, so no surprises here as far as I am concerned.
Just keep working, I guess.

What an exciting season this has been!

Kimmie has "filled out" a bit-jumps are low, sure she will adjust in time to a new body, but right now it is throwing off her timing.

Hurray for Miki. She deserved it. Two clean programs back to back. Mao did a wonderful job of comming back after the short. That one mistake did her in the long did her in. Congrats to Yu Na for staying in there.
Did anyone truelly believe that kimmie was going to medal. Not me.

I predicted Miki would win weeks ago and did so again today. Good for her.

Other thoughts:
Asada for all the talk about 3a rarely lands one clean in competition.
Interesting that Alissa beat Emily in the free.
Good for Rochette to wind up 5th in the free
The US ladies are getting their jumps downgraded.
US ladies like the US men barely hold on to three spots for next year.
Can't wait for US juniors to become seniors.

Kimmie's 'so-called' 3+3 was finally caught by international judges. Her 3+3 is always a bit cheated. Kim, Ando, Mao and Carolina have far better technique in 3+3.

Wow Miki! (and Morozov)

Congrets to Mao and Yu-na.

Kimmie.... sorry, there was just 1 talented girl too much.

Lori Nichol 1 gold medalist(shen & zhao), 1 silver (Mao)
