Agree re Mira's overscoring! Weird. She's pulling it together, but does not stand out with any special beauty.

I love Ashley's energetic, musical style, but agree about the ponytail - and ponytail shake!!

Mira was overscored. I can't believe she got better PCS than Katrina Hacker. What a joke.

It's to be expected. Katrina's never been at this level before, so she's not going to get high PCS. I will point out that Mira's PCS is lower than Ashley (1st), Cynthia (2nd), and Fumie (3rd). Ironic that Katrina still has the highest tech scores with easier jumps.

Next warm-up group is on the ice. Mao has a lovely new deep wine-colored dress. Bebe hit a nice 3R, as did Mao.

Plus she already repeated the lz and flip, can't repeat the toe as well

I know that the axel is a requirement, but how do girls get in 7 triples of they can only repeat two seperate jumps? Maybe she'd have to learn the loop! But couldn't she do another 2 axel to gather a few more precious points?

Basically, it's a spiral where the skater holds their leg to a Y-position and then releases the hand holding the leg, but still maintains the extension unassisted for a count of 3 seconds or more.

Mira does not have 3loop to do a 7-triple program. Any skater who can not do 5 different triples(unless you have 3a) won't be able to do a 7-triple program.

In terms of scoring, everything is on a relative term, if Mira was overscored, so were Cynthia/Hacker, especially Cynthia. She had two horrible falls, but still scored 102 pts, give me a BREAK. I dislike her tremedously.

What is a 3R?

I believe a 3 Loop. I think it's used to save confusion from the lutz, though I like using "L" for loop and "Lz" for lutz. But then, it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm forgetting basics like the whole 7 triple rule.

So? She doesn't underrotate or flutz her jumps. Ashley did 7 triples, 1 underrotated, 2 with edge deductions (She and Zhang need to learn that they should repeat the flip, not the lutz, until they fix their fluz)

and Cynthia's basics are terrific. You might dislike her, but she's still a terrific skater
