For the short I'd rather see Joannie in 3rd or 4th place. She seems to be able to fight back better then hold a top placement.

I hope Joannie has worked on the consistency of her Lutz. That is what cost her in the Skate Canada SP last year and it cost her the crown at 4CC last season. It's always been her nemesis jump, so hopefully she is able to rely on it and hopefully, she doesn't hold back and goes for the 3flip+3toe, even if it doesn't work for her just having the fact that she committed to it and attempted it will be a nice accomplishment. Good luck to all the ladies and I hope that the judging is fair and reasonable!

Forgot to cheer for other Canuckistan ladies!!!!!!!

Go Lesley Go!
Go Cynthia Go!

Skating God may bless all the Canuckistan ladies with two triple flips, two triple lutz, two triple loops and triple-triple combinations. Amen!

^ And may the skate gods also pull the wool over the tech specialists eyes so that he doesn't call a Zayak violation for repeating three different triples! :agree:

Mao seems to be invinsible. Even she fells or makes mistakes, I think she still grabs gold

GO EMILY!

Silver baby. Already called it. Hey, she's the only ladies skater there who has had GP experience this season. Plus most there have had consistency problems. I have faith! :)

Uh, Emily has consistency problems, too. And then there're those underrotated jumps.....

Is Joannie Rochette planning a 3/3 in her SP?

According to this Icenetwork article:
http://********************/news/article.jsp?ymd=20071101&content_id=36121&vkey=ice_news
Nakano apparently landed a clean 3A in practice yesterday, while Mao Asada was under-rotating hers.

However, I expect that even if Mao's 3A is downgraded, she should still win with her superior overall skating, with Joannie Rochette 2nd (if she's clean and lands her 3/3), and Yukari 3rd.

Emily will be lucky to come in 4th, as I Ashley Wagner is a more reliable, skilled jumper.

Does anyone know if it is possible to see the ladies short live on any webchannel in Europe (I am in France)
I have been searching around but no luck!

Go Joannie, Go Mao!!

18:00 means 6pm EST, right?

Sigh...I hate trying to figure out the 24 hr clock thing...

Hoping for Yukari and/or Joannie to go clean and maybe pull off the upset...!
Mao's skating really doesn't do much for me. My favorite program of hers is still her Nutcracker long.
