I agree with questionning Emily's jumps rotation but, to me, what is way more frustrating is the big lack of rotation on Nakano's fallen 3z that was not downgraded. That's what kept her in 4th in the SP and 2nd overall. In addition, she was rewarded for a couple of triples in the LP that were also questionable.

Hopefully, the 2nd place that she should not have with the extra undeserved points and the 3rd place Joannie had won't prevent the latter from participating in the GPF.

Couldn't agree more. I'm almost sure many of Nakano's jumps were underrotated. But everytime I tried to count her rotation, her leg wrap just makes it impossible. Wait a minute, is that why she's keeping her leg wrap?

I guess when your last name is Hughes, the rules don't apply.

Both Hughes sisters cheated thier jumps horribly and the judges just ate it up. If you watch Sarah at the olympics, both 3/3 combos were cheated. and Emily... don'e even get me started. I think she had two 3 salchows (solo) at skate america.... were there deductions? They will not pick about miss zhang and miss flatt but they love handing out the score to the hughes girls!

The flip was landed in front of me and it was indeed cheated. When you clearly see the landing mark on the ice, there is no way to argue...

Some skates got away with poor spins too, not holding their change of edge for long enough or not having a clear while spinning... We were quite ??? by the SP marks. I wish I could see the protocols.

Yeah. Kimmie never holds a coupple of her spin positiosn long enough.... i think the layback the the foward camel....

I agree that it is difficult to count Yukari's rotation. I do not know if this is due to the wrap or more to do with real under-rotation. In any case, it often looks as if it were under-rotated but when I see the protocol, it doesn't say so. So I suppose it is the wrap that makes it look as if it were under-rotated. Perhaps I should be watching only the skating leg, but I find it difficult to do so.

Not just the wrap, her jumps are always tight with very low height to it, while her head spins like crazy in the air, giving the impression of very fast rotation. It is quite difficult to tell whether she is under-rotated or not.

Her 3A is more like 2 1/2 axel to me.
