Here’s their SP: https://youtu.be/_13PxyAsE_g

I have missed seeing Lubov skate! As a team, she and Charlie have so much potential. This version of “My Funny Valentine” would not have been my choice for them, but I’m partial to the Chet Baker’s version. The version that would suit them better IMO would be the Michelle Pfeiffer version from the movie Fabulous Baker Boys. https://youtu.be/UzipGOFE-XI

This interview shows them doing some interesting lifts and moves. https://ici.radio-canada.ca/sports/...hkina-entrainement-championnats-quebecois-ete

This looks great...especially because it's very early in the season. Some nice move to look forward too as well. Thank you Tex!

I think this SP is a solid, reliable program for them. It’s not elaborate, but they look comfortable with it, and if they’re comfortable, they’ll land the jumps. The lift in particular looked beautiful. Overall, I think they look good together!

Here’s a fan video that gives a different angle of the SP and a better view of the height on the throw and twist. https://youtu.be/WhlBFZQ0OH0

Some of things I really like about the program are the transitions like the one out of the jump and the transition into the SBS spin. I can’t wait to see how their lifts progress. Lubov always has great positions in lifts, and this lift in the SP had really good distance and speed.

It’s fun to have a new pairs team to cheer for now. I’m already imagining wishlist programs for them like Corrine Bailey Rae’s version of “I Wanna Be Your Lover “ as a SP.

Great video! I think they will continue improving by the next event. They’re scheduled for Canada’s high performance camp, then Finlandia Trophy!

It's 2 weeks late, but Patinage Québec has finally made the archived livestreams for the Quebec Summer Championships accessible to the public (they were set to private before), so I've cut this performance from the video file I've downloaded.

SP: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7i0j3d The image and sound quality are much better than the screen recording on YouTube.

I really love this pair. Watching Luba when she skates well and is happy with herself is a joyful experience. :)

Just watched their Finlandia SP and boy if they keep improving like this the sky's the limit as far as I'm concerned.

Oh my! My new favorite pair! Their skating skills, lifts and impression are wonderful! There are still some timing issues but for a pair together for just a few months, their progress is remarkable! As much as I liked Luba with Dylan there seems to be a softer more relatable chemistry with Charlie. And the French lyrics will be big hit in Montreal-beautiful melody! This is definitely a pair to watch!

I adore them! Her lift positions are to die for. I found myself watching her more than him, but I think they look lovely together. The pair spin with the catch-foot was a real treat. They easily beat Walsh/Michaud here, so I think a spot for Worlds should be no problem if they continue to skate at this level.

That upside down lift at the end was quite impressive. Lubov's Cirque de Soleil experience is coming in handy - she is quite the acrobat!

I also liked that they did their throws later in the program and she was able to land both.

Glad this pairing seems to be showing so much promise!

So much potential there!

I'm convinced that someone could put a chair center ice and Luba could skate around it doing crossovers and still have chemistry with it!

Not that Charlie isn't wonderful too, together they have some magic. I'm here for it!

Found this pair after learning that half of my favorite ice dancing team choreographed for them, and glad I did! Lubov's positions are unreal, and they have the most innovative lifts I've ever seen in pairs. Their jumps seem a little on the weak side, but their artistry is way above average in my eyes compared to other pairs skaters.

Lubov Ilyushechkina and Charlie Bilodeau's Incredible New Lift

The lifts Lubov and Charlie do are unbelievable, especially their new lift. Rod Black dubbed it the Lubovdeau lift. It's absolutely incredible, he is so strong and she is so flexible and brave! I'm talking of course about the last lift in their program where she is upside down with her legs in a scissor like position. Of course Lubov has worked with Cirque du Soleil. I'm sure this helps with her incredible balance and flexibility in the air. Their other lifts were wonderful too, as well as the entries into the lifts. They just need to work more on their jumps and they will have the whole package. Well done Lubov and Charlie!

I've heard so much about this. Is it the SP or LP? Would love to see a video.
