Lost (the TV show)

November 3rd episode...

with the exception of Sayad getting knocked out, it was not an exceptional episode IMO. I probably missed some of the finer points that may come into play during future episodes, but I'm ready for more to happen.

I love the way the character studies of the passengers are introduced into the storyline. Charlie is my favorite character. He is so changed from LOTR, that he hardly resembles a hobbit.........I am dying to find out who hit Sayad........who else is stranded on that island? 42

I am definately loving the "flash-backs" that show each character before they were on the plane.
I wonder, too, who hit Sayid in the heat...was it the guy hoarding all the stuff or somebody we don't know about yet?
I thought the story line of Locke getting Charlie to beat his addiction was done really well!

Well, if the "hoarder" hit Sayad in the head, then who set off the flare? 42

I have such a love hate relationship with this show... I seem to really enjoy like every other episode. I think that the fat kid hit sayid on the head... its about time for us to hear his back story :)

Exactly. If Sawyer hit Sayid on the head, he would have had to had someone else set off the rocket from his original position. Otherwise he never would have made it to Sayid's poisition in time. That seems unlikely since only a handful of them know about the original transmission anyway. (Sawyer, Sayid, Charlie, Jack, Kate, and the brother and sister). They decided as a group not to tell the others.

Could be Locke. But again, why would he if he doesn't know about the transmission? Plus he doesn't strike me as a "hit first, ask questions later" type of guy. Still, he wasn't accounted for after he told Charlie to go back to the cave to help get Jack out. A lot of time passed between then and when we see Locke at the end cooking the boar.

Or it could be someone else that crashed on the island prior to this group. I love this show because of the unanswered questions! It's fun to guess.

I liked Charlie's life flashback. Would anyone happen to know the actor who played his brother?

I also thought the storyline of how Locke helped Charlie beat his addiction was well-done.

If you think about it, Locke may not want to be rescued. Remember, he was in a wheel chair before the plane crashed. He is living and fulfilling his fantasy. He's got a lot to lose, perhaps, if they are rescued.........and maybe he can only walk if he's on this island............... 42

Tonights episode was really good! It was nice to see everyone relaxing and playing golf. Sayids story was so timely and sad, I wish we could hear how he got out of the republican gaurd.

IMO tonight's episode was the best since the very beginning. It was the most successful blend of a gripping backstory, current-time island story, plus there was some much-needed levity with the golf course. Jack and Kate's burgeoning romance didn't hijack the episode, which is always nice. To top it off, we got to see a non-star passenger in a speaking role. All in all a nice set-up for the series once they run out of regulars to highlight. I'm excited to get back to the island action now!!

Hate to say it, but I think that guy's going to die! Why? Because the French lady talked about the others all dying from what sounded like some disease. She told Sayid to watch the others. And that guy had a rash plus we've never seen him before, he's not a major player. My guess is he dies. Just my own theory...not anything I heard or anything like that.

BTW, I love this show! I bow down to J.J. Abrams! Can't wait for Alias to return.

Very interesting about the "voices". Too bad we have to wait two weeks until the next episode!!!

Okay, now we're getting somewhere. What the heck was that cable sunk into the sand leading to shore? A scientific ship run aground. No telling what kind of chemicals they were carrying.............enough to infect the animals and cause "mutations" of some sort? This keeps getting better and better.....42

I agree that the guy with a rash probably has whatever killed off Danielle's compatriots. That guy is played by Tom Cruise's brother, BTW.

I am seriously bummed out to wait 2 weeks for the next episode. What's being shown next week, anyway?

Next week The Bachelor is on for 3 hours....first two hours he continues getting to know and makes his mind up about the 2 final girls left...then the follow up show is chatting with the bachelor and whomever he chooses.

I agree that this weeks episode of Lost was excellent!!!
I never even thought that the "rash guy" could have what killed Danielle's compatriots, but I think that is an excellent theory!

I love the way they've been ending the shows with "cliffhanger" type last scenes that really make you wonder what's next!

I sure wish I had seen Wednesday's episode. Maybe it will rerun again this weekend?

I went to Hoosier Park and won money on almost every race, so it was okay :p

The episodes have been repeating on Saturday nights in my area (East coast/Philadelphia area), but this week the tv guide has college football or basketball(I forget which :rolleye: ) for this Saturday.

I'm curious if Sayd is sick because he is now hearing voices.

ABC has quite a coup this season - I think they have the only 2 certified new series hits - Lost and Desparate Housewives.

WOW! Did anyone just see the latest episode about the pregnant chick? It was incredible! I've missed a few episodes lately, but this one more than made up for it. What is with that freaky Canadian guy?

I saw tonights episode (12/1). It was quite good. The background about the pregnant girl was really good. The first time she went to the psychic when he wouldn't read her, I knew he must've seen the crash. Then when he insisted she get on that particular flight....as Charlie deducted at the end of the show, the psychic knew she'd HAVE to be the one to raise the baby, for whatever reason he "saw" that she needs to be the one to do it, if she crashed in the plane and survived.
And who is this Lance guy...where'd he come from, how long has he been on the island and is there anyone else with him...does Danielle know about him....what will he do with Charlie and PG girl(whose name escapes me!)
