Maiia Khromykh

So Wikipedia is incorrect? The original series appears to be completely japanese, based on the children's book. Only the continuation is a co-production with ZDF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_the_Honey_Bee
Here you have the full story :)
The orginal Biene Maja cartoon from 1975 was a German-Japanese co-production, produced for the German TV broadcast ZDF. The cartoon is based on two German novels by Waldemar Bonsels published in 1912 (Bee Maja and her adventures) and 1915.
Two other article talking about the story of its production :)
PS: the English wikipedia website for the show is extremly flawed. It does not provide any sources for their dates and information if you click through the links :) its mostly screenshots of American TV programs and links to online shops

Well, no matter what RLT says, Maiia is definitely improving in her FS. It's still far from perfect, but what was the problem today. 4S (again, I wish her so much to land it finally) and then hesitating on the 3F after that. The rest was good, not perfect, but good. The stumble in the choreo sequence was obviously a coincidence and I saw several stumbles that had more happy ending just because of the position in which the skater came into it. Scratch in the ice or something like that. I agree though that Maiia probably doesn't feel comfortable in it, don't know whether it's the program itself or something else. Just hope the improvement will continue because what, because Maiia has qualified for the nationals with two bronze medals.

Maya has the finest dresses by Olga Ryabenko with incredible detail and quality, look at the snake back pattern, which is also evident in the splendid new dress of Alina Gorbachova

Maiia's SP from today's Moscow Championships:

Unfortunate step-out of the 3Lz, otherwise solid, though little careful. It's probably perceived as a preparation for the national chapionships, so no experiments or using full strenght (with all girls there).

She really does have fun with this programme - she always seems like she's enjoying it. And that inside edge Ina Bauer-like move at the start (someone tell me what it actually is, please) impressed me no end watching this performance - to stay balanced while leaning forward with such long limbs requires a fair bit of strength, and she makes it looks so graceful and easy.

Got to hand it to her for trying. She doesn't seem to be discouraged by her lack of success landing the quads - just gets up and gets on with the skate, and then tries again the next time. I suppose if she can get it round in practice, it's just nerves in competition.
Her 4S from the training posted recently looked effortless. In the warm-up before the junior nationals and junior worlds she landed clean quads on both events. Somehow she is just unable to transfer it into competitive program.

Today she has shown big improvement in the interpretation of the free program, her movements were light, delicate, smooth, apart from the 4T and the 3F she skated well, it was like she lost a concentration for a short moment in both cases. Good thing is she doesn't seem annoyed after such mistakes, in the pictures from after the competition she was smiling and chatting with Daria and Ksenia.
