Makar Denisovich Ignatov (Russian: Макар Денисович Игнатов, born 21 June 2000) is a Russian figure skater. He lost two seasons (2024-15 and 2015-16) due to injuries, returning to competition in 2016. Ignatov made his international senior debut in mid October 2016 at 2016 Cup of Nice, where he won a bronze medal.

Ignatov finished 4th at the 2017 Russian Junior Championships, after placing 5th in the short program and 3rd in the free skate.

Ignatov's international ISU Junior Grand Prix debut came in early September 2017 at a 2017–18 ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) competition in Riga, Latvia; he ranked second in both segments, and won the silver medal with a total score of 196.88

At his second JGP in Croatia, he has placed 3rd with Personal Best score of 219.22, and qualified for the JGP Final in Japan in his first JGP season

In the summer of 2018, Ignatov broke a bone in his right foot while practicing a jump at a training camp. He returned to competition in late November, at the Tallin Trophy, but did not compete for the remainder of the season.

He is currently coached by Evgeni Rukavicin and Galina Kashina, and trains at Olympic School St. Petersburg. In 2019-20, he won the the bronze medal at GP Rostelecom Cup and finished fourth at the Russian Championships. He is the 2021 Russian national silver medalist.

Makar is one the subs in JGP Slovakia, so, it seems he will stay in juniors.

This season will be his last junior eligible season.

Really like him. I hope he stops dying in the second half of the FS (what is it with Rukavicin's guys and stamina? They need a proper physical conditioning coach) and manages to get to Junior Nationals and/or obtain a high enough SB for GP spots. We need more Russian men with actual PCS. But I am worried that he is growing too tall for men's skating.

Has he had a growth spurt recently? And yeah, I agree with the dying

Makar is still on the sub list for JGP Slovakia but he is not on any of the other three JGP list and he didn't skate at the test skate event. I wonder if he is injured or if he has decided to move to seniors.

well..... His coach didn't say anything about makar , so how can we know? he already choose JGP, so not to go to SGP. he just can manage JGP and challenger series as senior. Also, I don't know he will participate in saint-petersburg test skate 24~25 August.

Makar Ignatov: "Like when after training think that today you - well done"

This conversation took place at us with Makar Ignatov in early September, just in time for the control of rentals Russian team in Moscow. Unfortunately, Makar himself returned to the competition only a few days ago at a tournament in Tallinn. Why it happened, what plans the skater has, and what he enjoys in his free time, read our interview
