I have no idea what is going on in that as my Japanese is a little... weak. But it sure looks like fun. Mao is divine. Good to see her having a such a good time. Plushenko, too.
 
Hard to believe she is no longer a teenager! Another lovely lady we have all watched up grow before our eyes. Happy Birthday!
 
Catching up on my Mao reading, I can't believe her 20th birthday is already here (just after midnight here in the PNW). And as the weekends are my nirvana, I would now like to extend my best wishes to Mao-chan:

How silly of the TV network to put a banner exactly where her jump landings are on the 3Lp-3Lp. :unsure:
Her second 3 loop looks a little UR'ed, but who knows...

Mao looks happy and relaxed, that's the most important thing. :) Her coach has her working on crossovers, haha. ;) Her crossovers actually look better -- steadier, less up-and-down pumping as she was prone to do when she was younger.

Definitely UR'ed on the 3-3 but thankfully it's still worth trying with the new rules. She gets decent flow out on the landing; hopefully she can rotated it perfectly at least once this season. She has done brilliant 3Loop combinations in the past.

I'm not sure she's actually planning to try 3loop-3loop in competition. Skaters often train by doing many different combinations and tacking together lots of jumps.

Dai's program looks amazing! And Kanako is too cute! Did she have a growthspurt recently? She looks a lot taller and older, in those shots of her skating around, she almost looked like Mao. 3f-3t attempt definitely looked URed but still a good effort. And that smile :)
