Could it just be a one-off because the new one isn't quite competition ready? I like Roxy, but wasn't she competing it before moving to Raf? Seems like time for a change.

She competed with it before moving to Raf because she moved to Raf after competing in one summer comp while still at 7k, IIRC. I *think* she has only done Roxy for one season.

So it's confirmed that Mariah is going back to last year SP. USFS Facebook has a clip where she said after two new SP this summer, she feels that it's best to go back to old one.

Thanks for the pointer; went and looked at that. Very interesting that she said she had a "couple" SPs choreo'd? I guess she never felt comfortable with them?

Since I liked Roxy, I'm fine with her decision to return to it, but it sounds like she has had quite "the process".....

From her IN profile, seems to be Cindy Stuart. I think Cindy also choreograph her original SP (across the universe), but I don't remember where I read that information...

I think her West Side Story program is poorly constructed, with awkward music edits. It also seems dated to me.

If that LP is Cindy Stuart, I am disappointed. She did Mariah's Little Talks SP a few years ago, and it did not have the, er, issues the current LP has. I also think Cindy works with Sean Rabbitt, and whatever you think of Sean, his programs are lively and interesting.

I saw on Facebook she was working with Phillip Mills, I think with one of the "abandoned" SPs.

IMHO, I've said it before, I'll say it again, she needs Rohene. If that means, she repeats her programs, so be it. He helped her shine:agree:

Thanks for the info, but her Wikipedia lists Stuart as a former choreographer so I'm thinking her Ice Network profile may not be fully updated. The choreography doesn't really look like other stuff I've seen by Cindy, but of course I could be wrong.

But I hope this doesn't mean that Ro was in any way responsible for that original WSS. I can't imagine it; I have seen work from Rohene that didn't touch me immediately, but I have never seen Rohene work that was boring, and that WSS LP was, well..... Let's hope for better programs ahead!

Like everyone else here, I love Mariah but absolutely HATE the West Side Story program particularly for an Olympic Year. Please please let her use Roehne for choreography and music more classic and less harsh or go back to last years free skate. Enough said!
